The blogosphere has lost a voice of hope and freedom, and possibly one of the finest ranters known.
Friend of the world, and valuable info source for all things Egyptian, Rantings of a Sandmonkey has called it quits.
In his last post, he explains why.
Today is going to be the day that I’ve been dreading for quite sometime now. Today is the day I walk away from this blog. Done. Finished.
Please, for the sake of a good friend in pixel form, drop by and say a word to a brave and irreproachable blogger.

Sandmonkey… If you cant handle the heat…
The fact that Sandmonkey has stopped blogging has been receiving massive amounts of blog publicity such as here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here and here.
Apparently he fears the Egyptian authorities are on his back…
