Happy Trails Mark and Wendy

I received an email from a good friend just a short time ago, Mark Schneider of NowPublic.com.
Mark and Wendy Schneider have decided to begin to write a new chapter in their lives together. And, although I will miss his presence at the NowPublic newsroom, I am thrilled that they’ve decided to take this opportunity, and follow their adventurous dream to sail away together.
And, I do mean “sail” literally. Mark sent me this photo of “SolMate.” She’s a real beaut!
Here’s wishing Mark and Wendy smooth sailing, gentle breezes, beautiful sunsets, and wondrous adventures yet to come.

Nuke,
What a terrific gesture, what a lovely going-away gift! For all of you who may not realize it, Nuke was one of the very first members of NowPublic.com, which now has over 125,000 and counting. He has made me scream with his conservative views and has broken my heart with his first-person accounts of moving his mother-in-law. Thanks so much Nuke!

A nice gesture, because nuke is a nice man.
But then, conservatives are nice people, too.

Me, a nice man?
Heh, pretty soon you’re gonna have people believing I have a heart!
Well…yeah!
/could be mechanical
A heart? Nuke! Are you secretly one of those people with feeeeeeelings?
Well, I offer congratulations on the sailing away thing. May your sailing be storm free.
MiiiiiiiiMiiiiiiiiii…whoa-whoa-whoa…MiiiiiiiiiMiiiiiiiiiii!
I feel a video coming….
Oh, Lord have mercy. I feel the need for prayer.
North Korea: Floods Destroy Tenth of Farmland. We are supposed to send aid, I suppose, despite the fact that the last time this happened, the millions facing starvation starved anyway because the aid was diverted to the military/government officials.
Nuke - Thank you for making this tribute to Mark. I am going to miss him as well. He was the one who talked me into getting involved with nowpublic as well as starting my own blog. And he was extraordinarly patient with me and my lack of IT skills. What will be particularly missed is his nose for substantive news. And now he is off for adventures on the high seas. I wish him the best of luck. I’m more of a terra firma person myself. He and Wendy are brave.
