Hillary’s bag man skips bail

September 5th, 2007 at 10:52 am . by nuke

Fugitive swindler and Democrat fundraiser Norman Hsu has reportedly skipped bail, according to Fox News. The prominent contributor to Hillary Clinton and other Democrats did not turn in his passport at last week’s hearing, raising the possibility that he has fled to China, mirroring the actions of dozens of Clinton contributors in the scandalous fund-raising schemes of the ‘96 election, known as “Chinagate.”

Hsu, a California businessman who remade himself into a New York apparel executive and benefactor of Democratic causes and candidates, turned himself in last week to authorities in California, where he had been a fugitive for more than 15 years, after pleading no lo contendere to a million dollar scam involving latex gloves.

On the way home today, I heard a strange, high-pitched humming from under the hood. Wuh oh. Checking my gauges, I could see that the battery was discharging instead of charging. When was the last time the alternator was replaced…..oh, yeah, it wasn’t and it has lasted through 200,000 miles and was due to die. I dug the cell phone out. It was dead, and the car charger was in SwampMan’s truck. The thought of a dead vehicle with only pine trees along the road for 20 miles in either direction was not reassuring. The prospect of walking for 20 miles in my bright canary yellow high heel pumps was also something I didn’t care to contemplate. Not that I’d actually have to walk because a nice log truck driver or dump truck driver would have stopped to pick me up before I had taken 5 steps. Luckily, the alternator didn’t freeze up and break the belt that would have caused the steering and brakes to fail, and my faithful vehicle continued on, delivered me to my driveway before expiring.

I sent an E-mail off to SwampMan to pick up an alternator on the way home. He was not happy. He asked me if I was ready for a new vehicle yet. “Nope. I promised that if this one could safely make it home, it could live out the rest of its life with me, so there you go. No new vehicle. I promised.”

Daughter called to tell me her house was up for sale and if it sold really fast, they’d have to move in with us, and where was I this morning? I explained about the alternator. “So, why didn’t you call me? You knew I’d come get you. Did you even have your cell phone with you?” “Of COURSE I had it with me. Just not charged.”

Ex-daughter-in-law dropped by and her lil’ 18-month-old son, who I keep forgetting is not actually my grandson, came with me to feed chickens. “I stopped by this morning and you weren’t here.” So, I explained about new job, fingerprinting, and alternator. “That’s a horrible place to break down. Why didn’t you call me? I would have gotten you. Did you throw away your cell phone again?”

That comment right above this one was supposed to be sent last night. Funny trick is, you have to press the submit button.

Hey Nuke, I was having that trouble too — or so I thought. Turns out, when I click on the stats button from my dashboard, it makes me sign in with my old wordpress blog credentials. However, once I do that, it brings up my stats for both blogs with a drop down box to switch between the two.

I hope it works out that way for you.

Kathleen Wiley: Clintons Stole My Manuscript

Kathleen Willey, the woman who says Bill Clinton groped her in the Oval Office, claims she was the target of an unusual house burglary over the weekend that nabbed a manuscript for her upcoming book, which promises explosive revelations that could damage Sen. Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign.

Willey told WND little else was taken from her rural Virginia home as she slept alone upstairs – electronics and jewelry were left behind – and she believes the Clintons were behind it.
