Blind Ignorance, Part 2

September 8th, 2007 at 10:45 am . by nuke

The Times continues its excellent coverage of the Deobandi sect:

One of the world’s most respected Deobandi scholars believes that aggressive military jihad should be waged by Muslims “to establish the supremacy of Islam” worldwide.

Justice Muhammad Taqi Usmani argues that Muslims should live peacefully in countries such as Britain, where they have the freedom to practise Islam, only until they gain enough power to engage in battle.

His views explode the myth that the creed of offensive, expansionist jihad represents a distortion of traditional Islamic thinking.

Isn’t this exactly what concerns us: that the long-practiced muslim tradition of taquiya, the meaningless mouthings of duplicitous clerics and deceived politicians is simply postponing the day of reckoning until the confrontation will be much larger, more violent, and on our home turf?

The reveille has sounded. Is anyone paying attention?

I’ve said it before, there are no moderate muslims. The koran has no peace in it, only violence and death to all who do not conform. They are just pretending until it’s their turn to give it up for alla. But the appeasers tell us we are wrong about the religion of peace, and not to offend them. I hope we collectively wake up soon.

I do not know which scares the hell out of me more; these radical death squad training mosques or the nutcases inside the US trying to make political gain by equating Christian fundamentalists with these jihadists. One of the first cases that comes to mind was the recent CNN “Gods Warriors” leveling the field for jihadists by that poor comparison series.

    I watched some of that.

As a Christian and social conservative, it is disturbing to me also.

It occurs to me that many of our political “allies” on the right trust Christian conservatives only slightly more than our opponents on the left.
