Ricin, anarchist book, and firearms in Vegas motel

While authorities have remained very low key about the ricin discovery in Las Vegas, AP is reporting that in addition to “several vials” of the deadly toxin, guns and an “anarchist type” book were found in the same motel room.
Capt. Joseph Lombardo said at a press conference late Friday that the book was tabbed at a spot with information about ricin. Lombardo did not give more information about the book or specify what kinds of weapons were found.
Adam Housley asks … First, why didn’t the victim tell the hospital that he was exposed to the white powder (Ricin), wouldn’t you do that if you touched something you didn’t know about and then started to feel ill? Second, when found yesterday inside a plastic bag, was the bag sealed? That might explain why everyone else who came in contact yesterday thankfully didn’t get sick. Also, while on the record detectives say the victim is not a suspect, off camera they have not ruled out some sort of foul play.
Although authorities initially ruled out terrorism, they now say, “there is no evidence of terrorism,” a subtle difference.
Several deadly vials of poison, a book on anarchy, and firearms in a Vegas motel room…..there may indeed be no evidence of terrorism. There is certainly evidence of foul play. Whether the perp intended to murder one, or many is unknown.
But, a pinprick of ricin is fatal. It isn’t much of a stretch to see that the perp had the means and opportunity to create mayhem. Only the motive remains undetermined.

I’ve been busy at work and home and haven’t been following the news on this too closely. Interesting. So, this guy is still alive? I wonder what his chances of recovery are.
I’m a little confused as to who reported the ricin in the first place. The guy in the coma? (Before he was in a coma of course)
It seems like they’re doing a fairly good job of keeping what happens in Vegas, in Vegas.
