Joe Enge vs. the Carson City School Board

Carson City is fortunate enough to have Joe Enge as a member of their school board thanks to the November elections. I can’t think of a better, more qualified person to take our education system head on from the inside. I recently spoke with Joe about what he has been up to over there. Here are Joe’s words.

The power of the Carson City School Board has been usurped. The superintendent runs the board instead of the elected board calling the shots. The school board is no longer a deliberative body, they just rubber stamp the superintendent’s wishes. When given information that contradicts the pre-determined outcome, they simply do not comment and ignore it. My objective on the Carson City School Board is to restore its proper role and authority to represent the interests of the community instead of representing the interests of the system. I will continue to bring up issues that require deliberation. The rest of the board can continue to ignore important issues, but my raising of them will make their avoidance clear to all.

The parents of Carson City are lucky to have a soldier like Joe on their side.
