Things are really beginning to develop in this world of the Fred Thompson “Almost Campaign” (AC).

Fred Thompson said it in the very beginning of this AC during the Fox News interview back in March. He said that if he did decide to run for President, he would run an unconventional campaign, and he would do it his way. Though it seems like much longer, this AC is barely three months along and is already ahead of candidates that have been running for years. With every move and non move of this AC, it becomes more evident that Fred Thompson has developed a strategy that is working.

During every candidate interview the question inevitably arises, “How would Fred Thompson’s entry into the race affect your campaign?” Every round table discussion eventually turns to the discussion of which candidate would be hurt the most by Fred Thompson’s entry. The fact is, that in three short months, Fred Thompson has become the most interesting candidate in the campaign (or AC).

The atmosphere will definitely change once Fred Thompson declares, but judging from the successful strategy of his AC, I am confident that he already has a winning strategy for the REAL campaign.

It appears that the long awaited “announcement” is just around the corner. Speculation seemed to center around a possible declaration over the July 4th holiday weekend.

Fred Thompson made it very clear today that he will be making his entry into the Presidential race very soon. He also made it very clear that his unconventional campaign will rely heavily on the “New Media” of the internet. He stated that he would be using the internet to “go directly to the people.”
