Want to see a moral disconnect? Want to see a person with an utter inability to even understand the definition of words? Check out this abortioner on the website flicker.com… She calls herself peskymac. We find a woman in her late 30s who has never had children and who imagines herself qualified to tell other women about their “reproductive rights,” as if she had any knowledge of motherhood.
On her profile she thinks of herself as a “Knitter, artist, gardener, voracious reader, amateur chef, occasional skydiver, wannabe travel writer, professional fundraiser, and total novice photographer.’ Naturally she is a “Progressive liberal and political observer.” She is “married with a menagerie of pets.” You can read that to mean she’s never had kids and probably doesn’t want the bother of them. Lastly, we find that she is the “newly-minted fundraising director for a reproductive rights non-profit.”
Now that we know our lovely Mz peskymac better, we can get to her recent posting on the joys of baby killing and her revelations of a complete lack of morals.
To start with we must deconstruct Mz peskymac’s title to her abortion celebrating thread.
Whatever satisfies the soul is truth 5/52
Here is the first evidence that this woman is utterly free of morals. Just look at the conflicting words jumbled together in her title. What we see is a conflict between the definition of truth and how to realize it. Truth has two basic definitions. In one sense, truth is considered to be something that conforms with reality. For instance, a ball is considered “round” because that shape conforms to the reality of the ball. In this case the “truth” is that the ball is round. The other definition of that truth is “a steadfastness to one’s nature, or sincerity.” Some use the word to mean the metaphysical “truth” of God’s will or a law of religion. But, whatever the case, the truth is always something to do with somewhat universal facts of some type. One thing is sure, truth does not mean whimsy. Truth is not something that shifts with emotion or mood, but is a fixed thing.
Now, let’s look at that headline again. To start with “truth” and “whatever” are antithetical concepts. “Truth,” being fixed, cannot be defined as a “whatever.” Then notice the narcissism of “satisfies.” Satisfaction is consistent for its inconsistency; what satisfies now may not satisfy later. Satisfaction is dependent upon moods and by their very nature moods shift. So, we are seeing that this woman is basing her “truth” on the shifting sands of the moods of satisfaction. In other words, there is no such thing as “truth” to this woman because it cannot be fixed as the word is properly defined.
Now we can move into the body of the post itself. After some meaningless chatter she gives us this gem of obliviousness. “I like who I am,” she says “and think I’m a good person.” Apparently that’s all she needs. She “thinks” she is a good person. Well then, it must be true then. Of course, most people would consider that determination something that others should arrive at. But, no, she has made the determination herself. That is more evidence of her narcissism and arrogance.
Now we can get onto her pleasure at killing others’ fetuses.
After being fiercely protective of my right to make my own medical decisions and being able to choose my reproductive destiny, I’m ensuring that - legal or otherwise - women will have access to abortion providers as my profession. I still can hardly believe it!
I can hardly believe it either. The law doesn’t even matter to her, sadly. It is nice, however, that she can justify the murder of the unborn by calling it a “medical decision.” And therein lies another one of her mental constructs to avoid the need to observe any morality. A “medical decision” implies a decision made to either cure something or prevent something detrimental. A pregnancy is rarely something that needs “curing” and, seeing as how it happens to be the natural way we propagate the species, it is certainly not something detrimental to health.
But, here we see this woman downgrading the life of a baby to a mere “medical decision” as if she is removing a burst appendix, or taking a tonic to prevent the flu. Nice that she thinks so little of human life, eh?
Secure in her obliviousness, though, Mz Peskymac must have met someone who was a bit less sanguine of her murderous habits.
The other day someone suggested that I make my livelihood at the expense of women and on the backs of murderers. Well, there are some arguments that just don’t hold water, and that’s one of them. I read something this week that re-confirmed for me that what I’m doing is right, ethical, and highly moral. A woman with two children wrote about having an abortion before she was ready to have children. She said that children are too sacred to use as a punishment, and that’s why it’s so important for abortion to be safe and legal. I had never really thought about it that way before. I don’t have children. Hell, I’ve never even been pregnant. Maybe you have to have children to think that way. I don’t know. But I learned something in what she wrote.
There you have it. Mz peskymac imagines that children are a punishment. Amazing.
And when I’m tired or feeling annoyed at ignorant people, I’ll remember what I learned this week. I’m going to turn 36 in 20 days. 36! And I feel so lucky to be doing something important and personally satisfying.
Killing babies is important and she enjoys it we can see. And isn’t it great to be able to do what you love? A fellow named Richard Speck once was “lucky” enough to have done something he felt personally satisfying… and he didn’t need any moral precepts either.
