A couple from South Wales, England, are claiming that CNN had broadcast their position compromising their safety while they hid from the Islamic terrorists that roamed the streets and hotels of Mumbai, India killing tourists as they went.
WalesOnline posted a story headlined, “We thought we were safe… then CNN stepped in!,” wherein a couple that safely escaped the terror attack scolded CNN for it’s ethical lapse.
A SOUTH Wales couple caught in the Mumbai terror attacks claimed last night that CNN put their lives at risk by broadcasting where they were.
Lynne and Kenneth Shaw, of Penarth, warned that terrorists were listening in to the media to pinpoint Western victims.
Mrs. Shaw claimed the American cable TV channel had broadcast details of where they were at the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel.
The woman claimed that she was told not to talk to the press by the British government but felt that this issue was too important to ignore. “But the reason I would not want to talk to anyone is because our safety was actually compromised by CNN, which broadcast where we were.”
Christian activism: There will be change

“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land” (2 Chronicles 7:14).
Has America become a nation that worships God only with their lips? Open your spiritual eyes. We have lost our first love. As the children of the Most Holy Father, it is time for a new ecclesiastic awakening.
This darkened world cannot see the true beauty or the loveliness of the Savior. For, too many do not seek the holiness of divine truth, so that man may understand the Father. Many have hardened their hearts, while some have completely turned away from the One who loves them so very much.

Another ACLU Attacks Christians Post

New Orleans, Louisiana was founded by French Catholics and the Christian religion has been an ever present cultural influence ever since. Yet, after hundreds of years that cultural influence being comfortably ensconced in New Orleans and the surrounding areas, here comes the ACLU to try and destroy expression of that religious faith.
The Associated Press is reporting that the ACLU has threatened the city of Pontchatula that if they put Christmas lights on a cross near Ponchatoula’s downtown locomotive they will be dragged into court.
Apparently a few lights threaten the existence of the entire Constitution of the United States.
A Cornucopia of Gratitude

As we enter the holiday season we will begin to hear a lot about kindness and appreciation. Sure, there will be the mental midgets who need to take issue with holiday displays and transmitted sentiments (we should really pity their stunted intellect as they celebrate their generic event) but for the most part we will begin to hear quite a bit about giving thanks, peace on earth, goodwill, brotherhood, sharing and sacrifice. This is the season of hope and while certain political opportunists incessantly try to franchise that word, for all their efforts, they are included in this joyous season as well.
I could go on to explain what it is I am thankful for this holiday season but truth be told, I am grateful for all I have each and every day of my life. I celebrate my family and friends and I give thanks for what I have and the opportunities that are presented to me. I am inclined to concur with an old and dear friend of mine who lives in North Florida: If you wake-up breathing it’s a pretty good day.
No, today I want to speculate on instances of gratitude that we as a society may be inclined to overlook, even throughout the holiday season.

No, the Mecca-orientation of the Crescent of Embrace is NOT a product of the landform
Defenders of the Flight 93 memorial repeatedly insist that the Mecca orientation of the giant crescent HAS to be a coincidence. It is completely determined, they insist, by the landform, the path of Flight 93, and the impact point, leaving no room for intent to enter.

A Politically Preposterous Presidential Proclamation

What should the President do if he finds himself in the midst of wrapping up a war that has claimed the lives of many and divided a country; presiding over an Economy that has generally prospered despite the war and finds himself at odds with international partners because of the war?
If you are Abraham Lincoln you issue a proclamation of Thanksgiving. Let me be clear. You issue a proclamation of Thanksgiving not merely for the blessings you enjoy, but you pointedly name and offer homage to the Source of that blessing, “… The Most High God … our beneficent Father …” Whose ” … Almighty hand … works in human history to accomplish … the Divine purposes ….” If you are Abraham Lincoln you gratefully acknowledge God’s gifts while beseeching Him for His mercy for “… our sins … [and] … for our national perversenenss and disobedience ….”
But of course, as is widely recognized by many of today’s Republican intelligentsia, such public displays of religion and Christianity should be returned to the privacy of one’s heart where they speak to no one; they should be avoided because of the damage such expressions of faith do to the Party’s efforts to be about The People’s business; they cannot help but push thinking and rational people away from the Party and towards the other side which has sensibly removed God from every last public place. A Party and a President who does such a thing deserves to be in the minority and will be seen by history as presiding over the destruction of the Party and its principles.
