  • The Only Way to Lose is if We Quit

With Nevada’s Senior Senator Harry Reid declaring that the war in Iraq is lost, I am reminded of an article by Ralph Peters that I wrote about a few years back entitled “How to Lose a War“.

To win any war, we must destroy the enemy’s will to fight while keeping ours. I am disappointed when pundits and media outlets make comments about American’s being “war weary.” There has been no economic or lifestyle changes for Americans as a result of the ongoing war. Can anyone name one item that is rationed or limited in its availability as a result of the war? The highest price is being paid by a very few Americans who have relatives in the military.

I contrast this with past generations of Americans that were around during our last hot global war. Members of the World War 2 generation must think it ridiculous that anyone today could be war weary.
