According to Human Events online, McCain is planning to open his address to CPAC 08 this year with a video featuring Ronald Reagan. After noticibly skipping CPAC last year and attaching his name to multiple causes that are decidedly un-Conservative; the Reagan video will most likely be met by a chorus of boo-birds in the audience.
One merely needs to remember two words…McCain-Feingold, to know that McCain is no Reagan.
Don’t be swayed by the activists out there pushing for “Net Neutrality”.
Read some information about breaking the myths regarding “Net Neutrality” at NetCompetition.org.
When I was in Washington D.C. for CPAC, I had a great conversation with Scott Cleland who is shining a bright light on the fallacy being perpetrated by spinmasters around the Internet. Primarily the Left but also some on the Right are pushing an agenda very similar to “The Fairness Doctrine” that strives to make the Internet “fair” and “neutral” but not Free.
Every rational person who takes a little time to see who the backers of Net Regulation are will see that the movement of so called “Net Neutrality” is all about control by a few companies like Google and not about freedom. Scott Cleland is at the forefront of educating people on this pivotal subject.

I attended the Conservative Political Action Conference last week in Washington D.C. and must say that it was interesting and created quite a few sparks.
I was able to meet some prominent bloggers like Pamela of Atlas Shrugged and Evan Coyne Maloney of Brain-Terminal.com.
I observed the speeches and positions of most of the Republican Primary candidates and heard the negative buzz about McCain not attending and commenting on CPAC not representing the conservative movement.
All this bodes well for our upcoming national conference coming up in October. The Conservative Leadership Converence (CLC) will soon attain the prominence of CPAC.
