Okay, maybe when hell freezes over I’ll give a chance to a flaming liberal DemonRat to hold the only US House of Representative seat that WY has. You’ve got to be kidding me! I find our so called “moderate” demonRat governor to be utterly asinine for making such a suggestion.
Gov. Dave Freudenthal on Wednesday threw his political weight behind the campaign of Democratic U.S. House candidate Gary Trauner, saying activities in the nation’s capital make a strong argument for change.
“Gary has worked hard, and he has demonstrated a willingness to listen and to travel the state,” Freudenthal, a Democrat, said during a meeting with reporters at the State Capitol. “I think the kind of campaign he’s run speaks to the kind of representative he would be.”
Reached on a campaign stop in Pinedale, Trauner said it’s clearly a good sign to have Wyoming’s popular governor standing in his corner.
“I guess the message I would have for both the governor and the people of Wyoming is I won’t let him down and I won’t let the people of the state down, either,” he said.
What activities in the nation’s capital make a strong argument for change? Why won’t our beloved governor be more specific instead of just spewing out political catch phrase garbage? If I had to guess, it’s probably because it’s hard to court the state’s majority Republican voter base and still throw your political weight behind a flaming libtard. You see, it’s an election year for Freudenthal — and he has to exercise his skill of talking out both sides of his mouth.
Oh, and this:
In his comments Wednesday, Freudenthal said ability — not seniority — is the best measure of Wyoming’s lone representative in the House. He pointed to Vice President Dick Cheney, who quickly proved a powerful force when he held the House seat.{M3 Cheney served as Wyoming’s lone U.S. representative from 1979 to 1989.
Well, seniority should mean something to Wyoming voters — when you just have ONE seat! Not to mention, Cubin’s voting record speaks for itself. She has not failed to uphold Wyoming values and is also strong on securing the border. It just goes to show that Freudenthal really doesn’t care about Wyoming, instead, it’s all about his personal politics.
Cubin responds:
“I believe my record of voting for tax cuts, creating jobs, helping to build billion dollar surpluses for Wyoming’s treasury, and voting right for the Cowboy State will be recognized by my fellow Wyoming citizens and help me to win on Nov. 7.”
I cannot say that I disagree with Freudenthal on this:
“I think that there’s a point in time which people have served long enough and they are frankly no longer growing in the job and they begin to take it for granted,” Freudenthal said.
Come to think of it … I think 4 years is plenty long for his service and he is no longer growing in the job. Time for change is right.

Let’s not forget the Gov’s Clinton connection…. No wonder he’s so good at talking out of both sides of his mouth!

Nice work!
“I think 4 years is plenty long for his service and he is no longer growing in the job. Time for change is right.”
I completely agree! Trauner doesn’t have a hope… hopefully all the Republicans who were thinking about voting for Freudenthal will think twice now that he has supported Trauner. Trauner is more of an obvious liberal, and now that Freudenthal has vocally supported him, hopefully it will be a shot in the foot for his campaign.
