I assume that most of you have read my About Me page? Well, it is short and in the 2nd paragraph I make this comment:
I enjoy politics but have a strong dislike of the liberal agenda. Notice I said liberal agenda, not liberals personally;) I think being a liberal is like having a mental illness — something that cannot be helped without proper medication, but in the case of liberals, something that cannot be helped without proper education.
I was kind of joking when I typed it, but not really. Then, the other day, no2liberals was leaving some comments on a post of mine and the conversation took a turn to here. I thought, “No way!” Not sure why I thought that, as I usually am right about most things, but I did
No2liberals links to this article, The Pathology of Liberalism. Maybe some of you caught the post at Nuke’s News and Views, but it was posted during February, which was a time when Ted was going through numerous medical issues, so, I missed it at the time. From The Pathology of Liberalism:
I suspect that at the core of liberal “thinking” is the same kind of pathology that characterizes other mental disorders, i.e., a glitch in the brain that produces “feelings” and behavior over which liberals have no control.
For instance, liberals are uniformly glum, not only in their grim demeanors and persistent anger, but also in their outlooks. Even in the flush of their midterm victory, they could hardly conceal their endemic rage, in spite of a brief moment of toothy, appliquéd smiles.
This is because their worldview is uniformly negative. When things are good, they see only the bad and invoke the Misery Index cited routinely by Jimmy Carter and resurrected by the dour wannabe president John Kerry. When things could be better, they see only that things could be worse. When their theories are refuted by hard fact, they are unable to process the true from the untrue because their feelings tell them otherwise. For instance:
- In an unprecedented stellar economy – with the GDP, employment, housing sales, and consumer confidence up, and inflation, the trade deficit, and crude oil down – liberals see only the “threat” of recession.
- In measurable improvement in education, liberals see only “too much testing.”
- In the face of 3,000 lives being exterminated by Islamic terrorists on September 11, 2001, liberals see a non-existent threat.
- In the Iraq war, which has liberated 25 million people, liberals see, to quote House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, “not a war but a situation” and a “catastrophe.”
- Worse, the liberals among us see that all of our country’s problems are the fault of, yes, America!
Now, I caught a lot of crap at the Democratic Underground for the statement I wrote in my About Me section. I was really new to blogging at the time, and I have to admit, those freaks creeped me out a bit. My blog was getting lots of hits, but they weren’t commenting here, instead, they were mocking me and talking behind my back on their own little retarded thread. These goons said a lot of nasty things, and some hilarious things (in an attempt to be nasty), but I think they really crossed a line when they called Harley ugly. Just sayin’.
My point is, I’ve always thought hard core libtards had mental issues and it turns out they do. I guess this post is my way of telling them, “I told you so!”
Thanks No2liberals
Tieki Rae blogged on it when it happened.

Hi w,
We have our dogs on a diet, so they really do, actually, want to eat whoever comes to the door. As we have two pit-bulls and a doberman mix, this is a serious possibility. Our big dog, Wildman, who weighs in at 75 pounds, and has been known to chew up and swallow an aluminum can, is enough on his own to cause some people heart problems when he looks angry. On the up side, we get very few unwanted visitors

Hi Grit — I thought our dogs were acting crazy over lunch when they were chewing on lettuce. An aluminum can is nuts. Maybe Wildman is part goat? Our boxer, Harley, does love it when we give him an empty plastic bottle. He just acts like you gave him the greatest thing in the world. I bet the Brit wishes that kids were that easy to please.

I can not describe how hard I am laughing.
If I had just sipped my diet coke it would surely be fizzing in my nose.
Hi MZ! I know you’ve been on vacation, sick, trying to catch up on blog reading, and busy with your own blog. I said all that to say it’s nice to have you drop in
. What part is making you laugh? I laugh just wondering

Tammi,
I meant “poor” as in “pitiful,” not socio-economic status. It was also laced with sarcasm, because Tieki Rae is not pitiful - she’s damn smart.
I know Bridget — her and I joke about the white trash thing. She does go to school with some elitists (and I do not mean that in a snotty way) who never even have to deal with the financial aid office. I always tell her it’s because their parents loved them enough to save $250,000 for their college education
. She has friends that have actually attended private high schools with tuition as high as ivy league universities! Not that there’s anything wrong with that

Hi w,
The post title is “Pullout Pelosi,” and the link is:

Sorry I didn’t do the tag thing, but the dogs are trying to eat someone who has come to the door, and, for the sake of our insurance company, I really need to rush to the rescue
the Grit
Hi Grit, our dogs just act like they want to eat whoever comes to the door:) . I guess it depends on who it is as to what we do about it. Thanks for the link — I’ll check it out.

Yes ma’am!
I made a post, but it was either gobbled up by your spam filter, or dissolved into the ethernet.
I can replicate it, if you can’t find it. The companion pic of a conservative brain was in it.
BTW, I was listening to Rush a little earlier, and he was discussing the calamity and death that would follow in Iraq, if our troops were ordered home, before security is established, that the Iraqi government couldn’t sustain.
I may need to update my I Dreamed Of Iraq Being Abandoned thread.
Viola! I found it

Hi w,
I touched on this the other day. I’ve suspected for years that true liberalism is caused by a genetic defect. Perhaps, given the rapid advances being made in the area of gene therapy, there will be a cure before long.
the Grit
Hi Grit,
Do you mind getting your post and linking it back in a comment? We may as well enjoy sound of libtard heads exploding together

Personal attacks are their alternative to facts and history, Tammi, since none of the latter is supportive of their hollow “arguments”. I think I’m generally much more caustic than you are and I don’t get any of this lib love hardly ever… I’m jealous. Wear their mindlessness like a badge of honor, my dear.
no2liberals did an exceptional job with his analysis and summary. OMG, I feel myself discovering yet another blog of wisdom… where will the extra time come from to allow giving everyone their due attention?
TT, nice evisceration! The really comical thing is that the stunned liberal caller doesn’t seem to even realize that he has been disemboweled. Rah, Rah! Power to the shallow thinkers… HA!
Good morning friend:) . I do wear it as a badge of honor. If you want some of the love, I think there’s a link to the blog that I commented on stating that I didn’t believe it was possible to support the troops yet be against the war. That’s what started the love flowing with lil’ angry chuck in the first place

My favorite quote from the DU
“It is that picture of her though, and the disturbing thoughts about how mis-guided that little girl will probably end up as a result of her mother’s views. Very sad.”
Amazing how those raging leftists have so much concern for adolescent children, yet they don’t mind the unborn butchered in the womb. Priorities, priorities.
I know, right? My poor little mis-guided Tieki Rae
Who happens to be attending the National Right to Life Academy right now. Wouldn’t that just tick them off?

Liberals certainly enjoy personal attacks. I have gone through quite a few of them in my short history of libertarian activism on several college campuses.
I had phone calls in the middle of the night from people screaming obscenities, one guy just started ranting about, “You sh*thead, I bet you loved killing little babies in Vietnam.” When he finally shut up and I told him that I thought Vietnam wasn’t a good decision (not to mention that I wasn’t alive then), he didn’t know what to say, so he said, “If you could get your head out of you a**, you would be able to think better.” I laughed, “umm, I thought I just agreed with you, so does that mean your head is up your a** or is it up mine?” He just hung up.
Too funny — though I probably wouldn’t have been as friendly after getting woke up in the night.
