Keep your mouth shut when you’re this freaking stupid

It almost pains me to copy and paste such stupidity. For some reason, I guess Deion Sanders feels a need to defend Michael Vick. Um… can you say moron? The entire column is here. I’ll just give you a taste of the insanity:93-sp-dsanders.jpg

Why are we indicting him? Was he the ringleader? Is he the big fish? Or is there someone else? The fights allegedly occurred at a property that he purchased for a family member. They apparently found carcasses on the property, but I must ask you again, is he the ringleader?

This situation reminds me of a scene in the movie “New Jack City,” when drug dealer Nino Brown is on the witness stand and eloquently says, “This thing is bigger than me.”

Are we using Vick to get to the ringleader? Are we using him to bring an end to dogfighting in the United States?

The only thing I can gather from this situation is that we’re using Vick.

Was he wrong? Absolutely. Was he stupid? Can’t argue with that. Was he immature? No doubt. But is he the ringleader? I just can’t see it.

I believe Vick had a passion for dogfighting. I know many athletes who share his passion. The allure is the intensity and the challenge of a dog fighting to the death. It’s like ultimate fighting, but the dog doesn’t tap out when he knows he can’t win.

It reminds me of when I wore a lot of jewelry back in the day because I always wanted to have the biggest chain or the biggest, baddest car. It gives you status.

Had enough? I swear someone must have beat that fool with a stupid stick. Probably some ringleader.

Anyway, I didn’t find this on my own. H/T to Allah over at HotAir and BelchSpeak

Thanks for the pingback, Tammi! I’m convinced from comments like Deion Sanders who admits that he knows other professional athletes that fight dogs, and Clinton Portis, who only winked and nodded and said that dogfighting was a “black thang” that Vick is just the tip of the iceberg. I would not be at all surprised if more NFL stars weren’t involved in this scandal.

You are certainly welcome. I agree with you, Vick is probably just the tip of the iceberg. Wonder who the ringleader is? Lol! Sorry, I just think that Deion goes a little crazy with his, “Is he the ringleader!” business. :)

It does not matter if he is or is not the ring leader. If he is guilty, he should be prosecuted. PERIOD

    Good Morning CavMom :)

Sorry, I love animals, and the rule of law, but I just can’t get worked up over this issue.
Call me if he gets convicted.
In the meanwhile, I will continue to ignore professional sports(except for racing), as I have for many years. When someone asks me about the Cowboys, I just tell them I have no idea, I don’t follow the NFL. Most times they say something like…”you don’t like football?” To which I tell them, I absolutely love football, but you asked me about the NFL…that’s Hollywood, not football.

    Hi Tammi,

Sanders is still alive?! Then toss him into the pen with Vick when they turn the dogs loose!

    Hi Grit,
Yeah, Deion sure didn’t seem surprised at all. His column leads to the speculation that he’s possibly attended these asinine events too. I hope they make an example out of Vick and find others in the process.

Thanks for the reminder of one of the reasons I am glad the “Primetime” is no longer an analyst on a pre-game show.

    Hey no2liberals,

I certainly understand your frustration with professional sports, namely the NFL. I get fed up with one guy getting singled out as though he is the entire make up of the team. I think this sort of garbage has its place in individual sports such as tennis and golf, but not team sports.

I haven’t been able to go cold turkey where the NFL is concerned. I’ve enjoyed watching the colts over the last few years. I think they’re a classy organization. I do get tired of the TO’s and Randy Moss’s who think the sun rises and sets around them, but I hate for them to ruin it for the true athletes and players of the game. So, I try not to let them.

All that said — I hope Vick gets convicted, but I won’t hold my breath.

I gave up on the NFL when they went to free agency in ‘95. You cannot talk about the NFL in terms of football, without the conversation eventually turning to “can we keep the team together with free agency and the salary cap?”

That ain’t football. This is football, Texas High School style.
