It’s finally here ladies and gents. FYI, Husker football is not politics and free speech is not necessarily always extended huskers.jpghere. In other words … bash my Huskers and risk your comment being deleted. :) That’s right — my posts on Huskers are for Husker lovers only.

Wow! I just looked at the score online and noticed that NE is playing NV. This should be interesting since there are a great number of Conservabloggers from NV. At any rate there is also a great number of Husker fans here in the Cowboy State.

Great thing about that is that particularly in this situation, one can cheer for Big Red and the Pokes at the same time. Of course when NE is playing a team identified as the Wolf Pack, NO ONE in Wyoming is going to be cheering for NV (except for maybe the Governor that took their side).

After Compaq bought Inacom I went to Omaha quite a few times. Wow, you guys love your Huskers! Hope you have a great season.

    Hi Scott,

Yeah, I wondered how touchy the Conservabloggers from Nevada might be … but hey, nothing comes between the family and the HUSKERS.

I’m hoping with our west coast offense and Sam Keller, I won’t have to eat much crow this year. ;) The past four years have really been a building period for NE and it’s time for some results. Go Big Red!

Of course, we wish the Cowboys the best too. :)

Crap! NE is kicking Nevada’s butt so bad that ABC is switching to a different game. I love the fact we’re dominating, but I WANNA SEE IT!!!! Ugh!!

Who do I blame for being switched to the Boston College game? NE for being so AWESOME or Nevada for sucking so bad? Decisions, decisions … ;)

  5. 5 Tammi

    Hi Neil,
Yes, we are quite freakish about it. NE is a great state, and the Huskers just accentuate the greatness. :)

    Go Big Red!!!

  6. 6 John

I just can’t get into college ball.

BTW, it is that time of the month again to pimp my alternative blog. Swing on by. I think you will enjoy the new post. :-)

    Hi John,
I once felt that way about college football too. Then, we moved to NE and that all changed. Once you start watching it, you’ll get hooked. College football is awesome.

The Gov probably called them up. Televising laborers from the corn fields slaughtering the Wolf Pack (obviously an endangered species that needs to be reintroduced[since there’s only one] ) is just not good for public policy :-D

go team go!..ha …….Have a great holiday weekend!:)

  10. 10 Tammi

    Hi Scott,
The Wolf Pack was very slaughtered indeed. :)

    Hi Angel,

Husker football is the only thing that comes semi-close to US OPEN TENNIS. Hope you stayed cool at the matches and had a blast!

Who did you watch? I was watching on TV. :)

Tammi ~ Because you are so sweet (and I don’t want my comments deleted ;) ) I will keep all bashing to a minimum.

Am I allowed to say Geaux Tigers?? or Hook ‘Em Horns???

Just a quick heads up… I am making my annual early prediction for the Heisman trophy … I am going with Colt Brennan.

Did anyone else catch his game? He only played the first half and threw for 416 yds and 6 TD’s!!!!!

    Hi CavMom,
Well, I like most of the Big 12 — and TX will be a formidable foe … that being said though … Huskers all the way!

Not many people call me sweet — I think I’m blushing. I didn’t catch Brennan’s game, but those stats are remarkable — do I dare question the defense of the opposing team? :)

Huskers should be able to take Wake Forest easily enough this weekend, then USC comes to town!!! That one makes me nervous. I have to admit that there were dynasty times in the 1990s where we feared no team … but times have changed dang it. I cannot even fathom the joy in our household if we send USC home crying to their mommies. :)

  14. 14 CavMom

heeheehee… I too will jump for joy when you send USC home with their tails between their legs. (However, my dear hubby will be cussing a blue streak as that is his all-time favorite team)

    Hi CavMom,

Husker party at my house on September 15th! I get giddy just fantasizing about a victory. :)

  16. 16 Jack

Just watch what USC does to the farm boys. It is going to be ugly.

  17. 17 Tammi

    Hi Jack,

Hopefully by ugly you mean USC running home to their mommies crying like girls because the Huskers whooped ‘em so bad.

    If so, let’s hope! :)
