You're welcome. :)

I think the trick is to put paper towels between each layer of the cookies, so they don't smash into each other.

I'll take a chocolate chip cookie, if you feel the need to adopt students. :)

One more:

"'Honour Thy Father and Thy Mother' Does not Mean 'Foist Them on the Government Dole,' You Godless Nimwit."

Thanks for the suggestions. :)

Maybe I should hold a contest to name my post? I could send the winner one of Ted's home made oatmeal chocolate chip cookies! Lol, I remember when Ted tried to mail cookies to Tieki at college and by the time they made it to NY, it was a zip lock back full of crumbs. We bubble wrapped and everything! Freshman year memories ... those were the days.

(Laughing) I think she's counting, too. :)

"Christian Duty Does Not Mandate Socialism," or something similar, might work.

"I Missed the Part of the Bible Where God Said that HillaryCare is an Essential Part of His Plan."

"Isn't it Cute When Liberals Pretend to Read the Bible?"

Hi Bridget,

Ugh! Christians and socialism ... will the fun never end? Actually, I've sort of started a post on that topic, but haven't had the time or full inspiration to get it finished. I'm actually kind of torn on what I should call it. My first impulse is Christians Shouldn't be This Stupid, but that sounds kind of mean. The other title I'm contemplating is Christian Democrats; an Oxymoron. That too, sounds kind of snarky. So, I truly am working on it.

I've actually been working quite a few hours in order to build some comp time for when Tieki Rae comes home in 47 days, but who's counting? ;) Last week I put in 50 hours, which hasn't left me time to blog like I enjoy. Not to mention, working people need to work hard because millions on welfare depend on us.

Thanks for stopping in -- I'll try and get over to your place with some troll repellent when I get the chance. :)

Oh ... comment of the week! I've been such a lazy blogging bum but I really miss it and need to resurrect it ASAP. :)

The trolls are back. In2theFray is helping with the latest.

Apparently, Christians have to support universal health care. It's in the Bible, apparently. See, I thought the parts of the Bible that told you to support your family (no matter what), to not make them wards of other people, and to not be a debtor meant that socialism is BAD, but, apparently, we're all supposed to watch out for our fellow man... with our tax dollars.

Funny how watching out for our fellow man always comes with a price tag. I mean, if someone wanted me to stand in the mall and give out hugs to help humankind, I would. I just don't understand the constant connection between "Christian duty" (or atheist duty, in my case, although I don't think the trolls can tell the difference) and my wallet.

Rant over... thanks, I needed that. When are you going to resurrect comment of the week?

The bad guys are the ones running around shooting people randomly. The good guys are the ones, taking out the bad guys. Not that tough of a concept, though leftards do struggle with it.

Well, I think it's the "bad" and "good" parts they have trouble with. That implies a morality that you are imposing on them.

The "taking out the bad guys" is a tough one, too, which implies that people ought to be responsible for their actions. Bullets aren't consequences.

The "guys" part is bad, too. See, when men shoot people in anger, it's the patriarchy asserting its continued dominance. When men shoot back, they are being tough, macho, and not getting at the emotional issues. Why not just see "Die Hard" and the related chauvanism and call it a day?

See, Tammi, in one sentence, you've committed three Thought Crimes.(TM) I think the word "are" is the only unoffensive part of that sentence.

/sarcasm

What kills me (pun intended) is that these are the people who believe in Darwin. Survival of the fittest, and all. Now, if a little oyster decided to leave its shell and hang out in the water, it would be fair game for whatever hungry seagull was in the world. We get this. When gerbils kill their young, we can't let them be alone with their young. Their genes also don't get passed along for very long. Somehow, this is all okay for the animal world, but heaven forbid we as humans try to protect ourselves and our young against predators.

Hi John,
I guess that's fairly practical of them. We all know how scary empty holsters can be. In reality, if college students are granted their 2nd Amendment Rights, or professors for that matter, it'll be no major drama as the weapons will be concealed. No one will know who it is that might save their life during a time of emergency.
