It’s been awhile since we’ve played the fun game of guessing which political party a convicted criminal belongs to. I felt obliged to post on it after spending 2 minutes of my life reading about this:
A businessman was convicted Wednesday of faking his disappearance after a car crash two years ago to draw attention to his long-shot congressional campaign.
Does it surprise anyone that I had to read the entire article before finding out which party this guy was campaigning for? Seriously, the last sentence? This is just too much fun.
Don’t cheat, try and guess before you get to the end.

Yes it’s a fun game for Republicans or Conservatives to play. However, there is no challenge involved if the perp is a Republican because that is typically mentioned in the headline, spoiling the game.

I was going to guess Green Party but since that has been buzzed I’ll guess he is from McCain’s Republican Party or its mirror image (Democrat Party.)

Oh, it’s like the bloody stem cells. If there is an advance made with an adult stem cell, your article looks like this:
1. ADVANCE IN STEM CELL RESEARCH!!!
2. description of how this helps people
3. ocntroversy surrounding embryonic stem cells
4. brief mention, tucked at the end of a paragraph, that this came from an adult stem cell, not an embryonic one
5. more mention about how the evil conservatives cut off funding for turning unborn children into sacrificial lambs.
These people are nuts. I don’t think that articles about Monica Lewinsky started off with, “President Clinton, a Democrat, engaged in oral sex with an intern half his age while his questionably heterosexual, power-hungry wife devised a plan to ruin America several rooms down.”
Harrumph.

Excellent point Bridget. Yes, whenever there are phenomenal advances in stem cell research, you typically have to wait until the last sentence in the article to see that it was adult stem cells.
