Glad to see you admit freely, even happily, giving up your freedoms. Do you have to take mine with you?

You obviously have to ability for clear thought and sound reason. What happened?

Oh my - Your logic (along with theo and Carla) is really flawed!

If the agent told you to remove your wedding ring, would you? Keep in mind that you would have to leave it behind. Of course you wouldn't! Since when is a wedding ring a threat to the airline? Likewise, since when is a nipple ring a threat?

Has it really come to this: "If an alarm does sound, "until that is resolved, we're not going to let them go through the checkpoint, no matter what they're wearing or where they're wearing it."

hmmm - "no matter what they're wearing or where..." Sound's like, no - it IS - a complete loss of common sense and good judgement. And I know how you all love to tout about the loss of common sense and good judgment in this country. Why can't you see that this is just a continuation of that loss?

Because you think Hamlin deserved it, that's why! You don't agree with her decision to pierce her body. Well, you know what? Last I checked this was a free country. A place where people are free to make these types of decisions becuase they do not infringe on the rights of anyone else. What bigots you are!

Be careful of what you let "the authorities" get away with, because someday there twisted logic will get in the way of your rights. I wonder how accepting of their actions you'll be then...

>>If they are so sensitive… why did she have holes punched in them in the first place?

Exactly. Security measure are in place for a reason. If you don't want to comply with them, either

1. Don't Fly or
2. Don't put large metal object on parts of your body you would be embarrased to remove.

Don't expect the rules to be bent just for you.

Dumb question of the day:
If they are so sensitive... why did she have holes punched in them in the first place?

The way the "feminist" community has responded to this, you would have thought that the TSA forced her to mutiliate that part of her body.

People routinely pass through security wearing wedding rings without problems, and it might take a larger bit of metal to trigger an alarm, Baird said.

Exactly. Those were probably large rings. How could it have been comfortable to put a bra on every morning?

Okay, another dumb question: once you've actually removed the things... why put them back in? If they cause scar tissue to develop in a very sensitive area of your body, wouldn't you, as a sane person, give the TSA agents a big hug and say, "Thank you!"? Then again, what mentally healthy person gets nipple rings anyway?

I mean, the whole complaint is that she was traumatised, but we can pretty much assume, based on the nipple rings, that her psyche is about as stable as a paper airplane in a hurricane.
