Brazil Discovers Uncontacted Indian Tribe in Amazon Jungle

Call me crazy, snotty, rude, whatever, but if I had the misfortune of being born into a primitive tribe of people in the 21st century, I would want to be contacted!! Honestly, what is the glory of being left to survive in an animal like state?

The tribe sighted recently is one of the last not to be contacted by officials. Funai does not make contact with such Indian tribes and prevents invasions of their land to ensure their autonomy, the foundation said.

How do they know this is even what these people want, if they haven’t contacted them? Contrary to popular opinion, ignorance is not always bliss.

Survival International said the Indians are in danger from illegal logging in Peru, which is driving tribes over the border and could lead to conflict with the estimated 500 uncontacted Indians now living on the Brazilian side.

If these Indians are being driven over the border due to logging, wouldn’t that indicate some sort of contact is taking place?

“These pictures are further evidence that uncontacted tribes really do exist,” Survival director Stephen Corry said.

“The world needs to wake up to this, and ensure that their territory is protected in accordance with international law. Otherwise, they will soon be made extinct.”

Once again, I don’t know how to word this without it coming across as arrogant to some, but shouldn’t the goal be to make life better for these people? Or, is it more fun to view them as animals and watch them interact from the sky?

If it is established that these people are happy with this life style, then fine. However, some may not like it. Who knows? Some might relish the idea of a 9 to 5 job and shopping at the supermarket.

I’m honestly not trying to sound mean and arrogant. I can’t help but think God has so much more to offer these people, yet some would rob them of the opportunity to live a more modern, civilized life.

What do you think?

Baby Libtards Headed to the Democratic National Convention

They’re starting the little libtards young here from Wyoming. Two 18 year olds headed to Denver. Bless their ignorant little hearts.

Neither Layha Spoonhunter, of Ethete, nor Willie Neal, of Teton County, had ever voted in an election prior to the start of this year’s Democratic nomination process. Now they’re among 12 pledged delegates that will represent Wyoming at the national convention in Denver. Both are delegates for Sen. Barack Obama.

“I just wanted to show not only Native youth but all youth that they can contribute,” said Spoonhunter, a member of the Northern Arapaho and Eastern Shoshone tribes. “I wanted to be a part of the change that’s happening in America, and not just sit there and complain in November.”

Pray tell — what is this change again?  Oh that’s right, communism and surrendering the war on terror. Well, whatever it is, Neal supports it:

Neal, who’s taking a year off between high school and college to nordic ski for an Olympic development team, said he gravitated to Obama’s “message of hope and change.”

He said he felt Obama has the most comprehensive plan for dealing with the nation’s energy needs. For his part, Spoonhunter said Obama has paid attention to American Indian issues and said he supported Obama’s plans to appoint an American Indian adviser.

Somebody remind me of the comprehensive plan for dealing with the nation’s energy needs?

Oh, and this little gem:

Both political newcomers said they support Obama’s opposition to the Iraq war.

“I’m 18 and I don’t want go to war and I don’t want to be drafted,” Neal said. “I believe (Obama) is 100 percent committed to getting out of Iraq.”

I’m wondering who’s going to break the news to these ignorant little libtards which party is pushing for a draft. I’m not gonna tell them. You tell them.  :)

Iceland tops list of peaceful nations … US, not so much :)

Seriously, the Communist loving freaks with the Economist Intelligence Unit are really one upping themselves with stupidity:

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Iceland is the world’s most peaceful nation while the United States is ranked among the bottom third, according to a study released on Tuesday.

The “Global Peace Index,” compiled by the Economist Intelligence Unit, ranked the United States 97th out of 140 countries according to how peaceful they were domestically and how they interacted with the outside world.

The United States slipped from 96th last year, but was still ahead of foe Iran which ranked 105th. It, however, lagged Belarus, Cuba, South Korea, Chile, Libya and others which were listed as more peaceful.

Iraq, which the United States invaded in 2003, leading to the toppling of Saddam Hussein, ranked lowest on the index. Afghanistan, another country invaded by the United States this decade, was also in the bottom five, along with Sudan, Somalia and Israel.

Commenting on the U.S. ranking, State Department spokesman Sean McCormack said to realize a more peaceful and prosperous world, “Often times, you have to do difficult things and a lot of times, people don’t agree with them. They don’t like them.”

“A lot of times you fall down in these lists but at the end of the day it is in defense of democracy and the way of life we have enjoyed over the past several decades,” he added.

The United States has come under strong international criticism for the invasion of Iraq and its chaotic aftermath.

Its image has also been damaged by the prisoner abuse scandal at Abu Ghraib prison in Iraq and the detention of terrorism suspects at Guantanamo Bay naval base in Cuba.

Small, stable and democratic countries were found to be the most peaceful in the index, with 16 of the top 20 coming from western or central European democracies.

The index looks at 24 indicators of external and internal measures of peace, including U.N. deployments overseas and levels of violent crime, respect for human rights, the number of soldiers killed overseas and arms sales.

The Group of Eight major economic powers were a mixed bag. Japan ranked fifth, Canada 11th, Germany 14th, Italy 28th, France 36th and Britain 49th. Russia was near the bottom at 131st, the only one in the group below the United States.

Based on a comparison of 121 countries in the same index last year, scores were slightly improved for levels of crime, political instability and the potential for “terrorist acts,” said a statement accompanying the release of the index.

The index was launched under the auspices of the Institute for Economics and Peace, a new think tank that looks at the relationship between economics, business and peace.

Supporters of the index urged policymakers to focus more on education, wealth, and well-functioning government and pointed to the role of business in creating more stability.

Because Obama Says ….

Oh my. This would be funny if this guy didn’t stand a chance of being the next leader of the free world:

“We can’t drive our SUVs and eat as much as we want and keep our homes on 72 degrees at all times … and then just expect that other countries are going to say OK,” Obama said.

“That’s not leadership. That’s not going to happen,” he added.

What do you mean that’s not going to happen? Is he going to stop us or just attempt to make it so that no one can afford any of the luxuries listed above except for the communist dictator in office?

Happy Mother’s Day!

I hope all my friends who are mothers have a wonderful Mother’s Day. I was blessed with beautiful flowers from Tieki, but the real gift comes when she flies home tomorrow.

At any rate, I’m happy that my child didn’t turn out like this one. ;) At least she was kind enough to request to the hit man, that if you shoot her with a shot gun, don’t shoot her in the face please. Even says please. What a sweetie. As for the mom, she’s good:

“I love her dearly,” Stribel told ABC News.

Stribel declined to comment further, saying, “We both have Mother’s Day this weekend. We need a little time for healing.”

I would need a lot of time for healing after that little plot, but I’m just funny that way.

Yay!! We’ve got more states!

I ran into this little surprise over at HotAir. It just makes me giggle knowing that the DemonRat candidate doesn’t know exactly how many states he’ll be president over if he were to become president. Details.

Gov Will Campaign for Obama

Whose gov? Wyoming’s. I know, it’s a sad day when a red state like Wyoming has a moderate governor campaigning for a communist candidate with a wife who only recently became proud of her country. Ugh! Will this year ever end?

CHEYENNE — Although Barack Obama’s campaign has stumbled in recent weeks, Gov. Dave Freudenthal continues to support the Illinois senator in his quest for the Democratic Party’s presidential nomination.

“I still believe that of the two candidates the Democrats offer, Obama has the greatest chance of changing the gridlock chemistry in Washington,” Freudenthal said in an interview Friday afternoon.

Freudenthal will speak on Obama’s behalf during the Montana Democratic Party’s annual Harry S. Truman dinner May 10. Former President Bill Clinton is also on the speaker list to support the presidential campaign of his wife, Hillary Clinton.

I hope that turns out awkward. :)

Freudenthal said he looks forward to seeing and hearing the former president.

“He’s got to be easily the smoothest, most effective political orator on the scene today,” he said.

I’m assuming he means that as a compliment? And to show that Wyoming’s DemonRat governor is just as stupid as the other 99% of rats:

“With all due respect to all of the candidates, people who have seven-figure incomes arguing about who best understands people’s problems in buying gasoline is a little hard for me to take,” Freudenthal said.

Excuse me? Is Freudenthal suggesting someone who cannot even afford to keep gas in their vehicles run the nation? No, he’s just spouting out his liberal pie hole as usual.

I cannot help but wonder how the gun clinging citizens from Wyoming really feel about this ridiculous endorsement that in no way reflects the values of Wyoming. I think it reflects the values of the California transplants quite well.
