Neither Layha Spoonhunter, of Ethete, nor Willie Neal, of Teton County, had ever voted in an election prior to the start of this year’s Democratic nomination process. Now they’re among 12 pledged delegates that will represent Wyoming at the national convention in Denver. Both are delegates for Sen. Barack Obama.
“I just wanted to show not only Native youth but all youth that they can contribute,” said Spoonhunter, a member of the Northern Arapaho and Eastern Shoshone tribes. “I wanted to be a part of the change that’s happening in America, and not just sit there and complain in November.”
Pray tell — what is this change again? Oh that’s right, communism and surrendering the war on terror. Well, whatever it is, Neal supports it:
Neal, who’s taking a year off between high school and college to nordic ski for an Olympic development team, said he gravitated to Obama’s “message of hope and change.”
He said he felt Obama has the most comprehensive plan for dealing with the nation’s energy needs. For his part, Spoonhunter said Obama has paid attention to American Indian issues and said he supported Obama’s plans to appoint an American Indian adviser.
Somebody remind me of the comprehensive plan for dealing with the nation’s energy needs?
Oh, and this little gem:
Both political newcomers said they support Obama’s opposition to the Iraq war.
“I’m 18 and I don’t want go to war and I don’t want to be drafted,” Neal said. “I believe (Obama) is 100 percent committed to getting out of Iraq.”
I’m wondering who’s going to break the news to these ignorant little libtards which party is pushing for a draft. I’m not gonna tell them. You tell them. 
Barry O hopes to change the nation’s energy needs and as long as the expression of hope for change elicits an emotional reaction, that will pass for comprehensive policy.
Of course you hit on the core of his real comprehensive policy, communism.

Ya know, Tammi, I thought that your title was a little bit harsh, right up until I read that. Wow.
What is the change? At least in 2006, the Democrats gave us a list of things that they would change (albeit with no plan for doing so); now they just into “change.” Apparently, the less specific they are, the more Americans they can fool.
But….but….but…..
Obama is such a cool guy!
He’s winning the popularity contest. He’s telegenic. Has a great voice. That is enough for a lot of people, apparently.

When we are discussing people who are satisfied with such simplistic, shallow platitudes such as “change”… how can we possibly expect that telling them anything factual or historically accurate will have any significant effect? The entire reason that they so willingly swallow such transparencies is manifested in their inability to comprehend something more complex than Jerry Springer or Oprah. They are not seeking fact, but only a popular, chant-able refrain. It’s a party, man!
This is the sure result after wrapping society in the feel good blanket of irresponsibility for so long. They don’t sense a need to think! The almighty, all supplying government will parent them forever. It is easy. It is instant gratification. It is happiness and everlasting freedom from worry.
Accountability? Responsibility? Grasp and understanding? That is so “yesterday”, man…
