I have been aware of Mr. Hawes accomplishments and always impressed by them. As an avid, lifelong hunter, I also greatly appreciate Fergus’ very reasonable views also. Too bad other non-hunters cannot be so typically sensible about a sport they themselves have no interest in.

Thanks for stopping in. Our family doesn’t hunt either, though we certainly have many friends that do.

(Looks both ways to make sure know one is listening) To be honest, our favorite meat is grain fed beef. None of this anti-biotic/hormone free, grass finished crap. I grew up in Southwest KS working in cattle feeding yards when I was younger. Yep, nothing tastier than KS beef.

It’s a fascinating story, and sounds like an exciting, fulfilling life … but personally I’m just fine buying my meat from the supermarket. I quite understand why people like to hunt, and what the culture around it means to them; it’s just never been something I wanted to do.
