A Little Wyoming Fun

Tieki Rae and I will be heading down to Cheyenne this weekend to spend a couple days having fun. I have to admit, I haven’t been to a decent rodeo since leaving Dodge City, KS back in 1996. Being from KS makes me partial towards Dodge City Days, and honestly, that was one of the hardest things to leave behind. We had good friends that we only saw every year when the rodeo came to town, and we haven’t seen them since.

Anyway, it’s down to Frontier Days for us. We’ll be attending a couple rodeos, the Rascal Flatts concert, and one night of PBR.

Hope everyone reading this has a fantastic weekend. I’ll be back next Thursday. In the meantime, talk amongst yourselves and have fun.

Wahoo, Tammi! Sounds like a serious blast! I have never attended a rodeo, but always thought they were extra spiffy when I watched them on the tube occasionally. When I read that you were going to also do “one night of PBR” I thought… “Good Lord, Woman, there are LOTS better beers out there than Pabst Blue Ribbon!!!”

Excellent that you provided the hypertext to give me the chance to diminish my own ignorance. (Also that you are not drinking Pabst… YUCK!)

Hope you all have a GREAT time! :)

Defiant Infidel beat me to the punch, I was going to warn against a night of Pabst Blue Ribbon. Have a nice time, whatever you are drinking!

Lol! You guys crack me up! The PBR has been the best part of the trip. :) I have to admit, the rodeos were the most disappointing — it’s a long story, but to shorten it, it just doesn’t compare with the Dodge City Days rodeo.

I’m not back yet. We drove down to north of Denver late last night to visit family. I thought I’d get up and check my email while everyone else sleeps in.

Once again, DI, you almost caused me to wake everyone up laughing so hard. Oh, and do they have rodeos where you live? It’s a great sport, and is relatively inexpensive to attend compared to other sporting events. You should give one a whirl. :)

I can’t believe you posted such cruel and inhumane pictures on your blog! :-)

Hope that you had a fun time and that you return home safe so you can vote in less than a month!

    Hi John and Scott,

I’m sure PETA was there … somewhere. But there were so many other people that they weren’t noticed.

    The PBR was the best!
