Palin Wows the GOP Faithful

Sarah'CudaWell, I bet there were more than GOP faithful at the event, but whatever. Here are a few more excerpts from the Omaha event:

Sarah Palin’s fans could give Obamaphiles a run in the devotion department if the more than 5,000 people who listened Sunday to her Omaha speech are any indication.
Palin’s supporters hailed the folksy Alaska governor as a “real person” who could be one of their neighbors.

A “down-to-earth” person who has been maligned by Washington insiders and the mainstream media.

“She talks to us. She’s one of us. She doesn’t talk down to us like an Ivy League, Harvard person,” said Craig Johansen, an Omaha sales representative who was referring to Harvard graduate and Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama.

Palin thrilled her Nebraska and western Iowa fans on Sunday with a 24-minute speech at the Civic Auditorium Music Hall. She led a familiar “Drill, Baby, Drill!” chant, took a few shots at Obama and tried to portray her running mate, Republican presidential candidate John McCain, as the real candidate for change.

Palin’s visit to Nebraska comes as national polls show that McCain is struggling in the presidential race. It also comes as Obama makes a historic bid to win one of Nebraska’s electoral votes - the first time a Democrat has competed in this Republican stronghold in four decades.

Democrats and others have said Palin’s visit to Nebraska indicates that McCain can’t even count on traditional red states like Nebraska this year.

Palin denied that, saying she asked to come to the Midwest.

“The pundits were saying, ‘Check out where she’s going. She’s going to Nebraska.’ The pundits were saying, ‘The only reason she would be going there is because they’re scared. They have to shore up votes,’ ” Palin said.

“I so wanted to reach into that TV and say ‘no.’ I’m going to Nebraska because I want to go to Nebraska,” Palin said.

The short notice didn’t have a big impact on attendance. On Sunday, people began lining up outside the Civic Auditorium at about 1 p.m. State GOP officials said they would have had several thousand more if they would have had a few days to prepare, but no one was complaining.

Before Palin reached the main crowd at the packed 2,453-seat Music Hall inside the Civic, she addressed the overflow crowd in Mancuso Convention Hall. Capacity at Mancuso is listed as 2,500 on the venue’s Web site.

State Republicans had fervently hoped for a Palin visit.

Sweet. I would encourage all McCain Palin supporters to watch local papers closely for these events. It’s clear the lame stream media will not keep us informed of the love this nation has for Sarah’Cuda.

Exciting times in Wyoming

Since Wyoming is a small state population wise, it is always exciting to hear someone as brilliant as Justice Scalia was here. Here is just a sample of what he spoke of:

“What gives the Supreme Court the right to announce that the Constitution has changed?” Scalia said.

Scalia went on to predict that the Court’s trend over the last 50 years toward the living Constitution theory will have disastrous results for the nation.

“Don’t think the country has lasted two and a half centuries playing that game,” Scalia said. “We won’t last with this change.”

Supporters of the theory of a living constitution generally believe that the progress of the society should be considered when interpreting key constitutional concepts.

Scalia also took a few questions from the audience, including one about his position on the practice of government taking land through eminent domain.

Another huge event is Sarah Baracuda coming to the state. Well, the Jackson area that is. I guess they are part of the state, the part that has most of the money.  :)

Palin, the Alaska governor who became Sen. John McCain’s surprise running-mate pick earlier this month, will meet with donors at the Teton Pines Country Club and Resort in Wilson on Sept. 24.

“It’s fair to say the response has already exceeded our expectations,” said Dick Scarlett, who along with his wife, Maggie, serves as finance co-chairman for the McCain-Palin campaign in Wyoming. “We only hope we have a place large enough to hold all the people who want to come.”

Invitations to the early-morning event will be sent out soon, and members of the public can request invitations by calling state GOP headquarters in Casper, party officials said.

Donors will have three opportunities to meet with Palin during her visit. A $2,500 donation pays for breakfast, a seat at a roundtable with Palin and a photo. A $1,000 donation pays for breakfast and a photo with Palin. A $250 donation pays for breakfast with the candidate.

The last paragraph is the reason why she’s headed to Jackson. $250 for breakfast is a little steep for our blood. Though, I’m sure worth every penny and if we had that many extra pennies just laying around, we’d go too.

$30 Million Dollars Scared

From LifeNews.com. It appears Sarah’cuda and John McCain are continuing to make the pro-murder of unborn children groups tremble in fear:

Washington, DC (LifeNews.com) – Three pro-abortion groups are renewing their pledge to spend $30 million collectively bashing John McCain. The organizations upped their commitment to the attack ads and get-out-the-vote efforts with the addition of Alaska Governor Sarah Palin to McCain’s ticket.

NARAL, Planned Parenthood and Emily’s List are the long-time heavy hitters of the pro-abortion movement and they each previously announced multi-million dollar campaigns targeting the presidential election.

They told The Hill newspaper on Friday that voters can expect to see the effort roll out over the last 60 days of the election season.

“This is the most anti-choice ticket in history of the Republican Party,” NARAL Political Director Beth Shipp told the paper. “McCain put someone as outside the mainstream as you can on his ticket, which is Sarah Palin.” Click for entire story ….

Rice: Democratic forces emerging in Palestinian territories

Exactly what kind of democracy would that be Secretary Rice?

Rice said Iran had suffered “setbacks” and Al-Qaeda was “on its heels,” while democracy had made a “breakthrough” with women voting in Kuwait, “democratic forces” emerging in the Palestinian territories and “a democracy at the center of the Arab world in Iraq.”

“We’re now beginning to see that perhaps it’s not so popular to be a suicide bomber. We’re beginning to see that perhaps people are questioning whether Osama bin Laden ought to really be the face of Islam,” she said.

Perhaps it’s becoming more popular to kidnap citizens in attempt to extort negotiations from actual civilized nations?

Hamas on Friday announced that it was suspending all negotiations with Israel over the release of captured IDF soldier Gilad Schalit. The deputy head of Hamas’s political bureau, Mussa Abu Marzuk, said that the talks were being frozen because Israel was not displaying commitment to the truce agreement with his organization in Gaza.

Captured? Let’s just call it what it is; kidnapped. Believe it or not, there is a difference.

Abu Marzuk told the London-based daily Al Hayat that Hamas would not send a delegation to the talks slated to take place in Cairo. He claimed that Israel was not living up to its obligations under the cease-fire and was closing the passages to the Strip.

“It does not make any sense that we should open negotiations while Israel does not honor the truce,” Abu Marzuk said. “The issue will be postponed until the Egyptians invest the efforts together with the Israelis - in order to honor the truce agreement - open the crossings and prevent Muhammad Dahlan and Fatah from sabotaging the truce deal.”

Abu Marzuk did not specify what Israeli truce violations he was referring to.

Hmmm… Israel’s latest negotiations with that other terrorist organization wouldn’t be playing a role in this, would it?

Another senior activist in the organization was quoted by the paper as saying that “After the prisoner swap deal between Israel and Lebanon, according to which Lebanese prisoner Samir Kuntar is slated to go free, Israel is expected to display greater flexibility in talks over a prisoner swap with Hamas.”

So, I’ll reiterate: Exactly what kind of democratic force is emerging? I’ll tell you, it’s not any sort of civilized democracy. Some people are just not eligible to participate in democracy, because they believe targeting innocent civilians is just, along with kidnapping and extortion.

Israel should let every Palestinian starve to death until they release Gilad.

Conservative Blacks Leaning Towards Obama

From OneNewsNow.com.

Well, I guess that would just make them blacks then, not conservatives. Did it even once cross my mind to vote for Hillary because she is a woman and I, too, am female? Nope.

My biggest disappointment? J. C. Watts. I would have never dreamed this, even in my worst nightmares that he would be this racist:

J.C. Watts, a former Oklahoma congressman who once was part of the GOP House leadership, said he’s thinking of voting for Obama. Watts said he’s still a Republican, but he criticizes his party for neglecting the black community. Black Republicans, he said, have to concede that while they might not agree with Democrats on issues, at least that party reaches out to them.

“And Obama highlights that even more,” Watts said, adding that he expects Obama to take on issues such as poverty and urban policy. “Republicans often seem indifferent to those things.”

How, exactly does the DemonRat party reach out to the black community? By preaching to them that they are not as smart or capable as whites, and the only way they can achieve anything is through affirmative action? By giving them government handouts, with the message, “Because we know you can’t make it on your own.”?

Am I to apologize for being part of a party that doesn’t make distinguishments based on the color of someone’s skin?

At least some fellow conservatives still remain true to the cause versus their skin color:

Michael Steele, the Republican former lieutenant governor of Maryland who lost a Senate race there in 2006, said he is proud of Obama as a black man, but that “come November, I will do everything in my power to defeat him.” Electing Obama, he said, would not automatically solve the woes of the black community.

“I think people who try to put this sort of messianic mantle on Barack’s nomination are a little bit misguided,” he said.

Me too Mr. Steele.  :)

Shooting at Jerusalem Seminary kills 10; wounds 35

seminaryattack.jpgWhat a tragedy. Honestly, it makes me ill to think about this senseless murderous behavior. Our thoughts and prayers sincerely go out to the victims of this massacre.

At the time of the AP article, no one had claimed responsibility for this heinous act. However, always true to form:

There was no immediate claim of responsibility, but Hamas militants in the Gaza Strip praised the operation, and thousands of Palestinians took to the streets of Gaza to celebrate.

What pigs.

Hamas stopped just short of claiming responsibility for the Jerusalem shootings. “We bless the operation. It will not be the last,” Hamas said in a statement sent to reporters by text message.

Oh, and this little gem:

At his West Bankheadquarters, Abbas condemned the attack. “The president condemned all attacks that target civilians, whether they are Palestinian or Israeli,” a statement said.

Excuse me, but Israelis never target innocent civilians, that is the way of the terrorist, not the way of civilized nations such as the US and Israel. But, as far as I’m concerned, all those asshats dancing in the street celebrating this attack, lose their status as innocent civilians.

Thank God more were not killed thanks to heroes like this:

One of the students, Yitzhak Dadon, said he shot the attacker twice in the head. “I laid on the roof of the study hall, cocked my gun and waited for him. He came out of the library spraying automatic fire,” he said.

Update:

JERUSALEM —  Hamas Islamists have claimed responsibility for a Jerusalem shooting attack at a Jewish religious school that killed eight people, Reuters reports.

Classless, gutless pigs. Well, if only they had the class of pigs.

barbarianpigs.jpg

Take a good look at the smirks on their faces. These animals desire peace? Hardly. They are nothing but blood thirsty savages and need to be completely annihilated.

How would you feel if someone you loved had just been murdered, and then, adding insult to injury, these barbarians celebrate? I simply cannot imagine being so inhumane.

Guess that politician’s party

partygame.jpgIt’s been awhile since we’ve played the fun game of guessing which political party a convicted criminal belongs to. I felt obliged to post on it after spending 2 minutes of my life reading about this:

A businessman was convicted Wednesday of faking his disappearance after a car crash two years ago to draw attention to his long-shot congressional campaign.

Does it surprise anyone that I had to read the entire article before finding out which party this guy was campaigning for? Seriously, the last sentence? This is just too much fun.

Don’t cheat, try and guess before you get to the end.

Christian Photographer Hauled Before Commission For Refusing Same-Sex Job

I’ve been extremely busy, but I know I need to post. So, I’m going to hat tip the lovely VelvetHammer and copy her post. Many of you may have already seen this at Velvet’s place, but for those of you who haven’t — is this an outrage or what?

By John Jalsevac

New Mexico, January 30, 2008 (LifeSiteNews.com) - The case of a Christian photographer who refused to photograph a same-sex “commitment ceremony”, was heard before the New Mexico Human Rights Division on Monday.

A same-sex couple asked Elaine Huguenin, co-owner with her husband of Elane Photography, to photograph a “commitment ceremony” that the two women wanted to hold. Huguenin declined because her Christian beliefs are in conflict with the message communicated by the ceremony.

The same-sex couple filed a complaint with the New Mexico Human Rights Division, which is now trying Elane Photography under state antidiscrimination laws for sexual orientation discrimination.

The Alliance Defense Fund (ADF), a legal alliance that is dedicated to defending and protecting religious freedom, sanctity of life, marriage, and family, is currently defending Elane Photography. Continue Reading …

It makes me proud that Tieki Rae desires to work for an organization such as the Alliance Defense fund when she finishes school. I believe she’ll give ‘em heck. :)

Once again, thank you Velvet for these outrageous finds you dig up.

Son of Kansas Gov. Kathleen Sibelius (sic) Designs Raunchy Prison-Themed Board Game

Nice. Of course AP doesn’t mention the Sebelius’ are Democrats. It really doesn’t matter though. Both parents are justsebalius.jpg proud of the boy:

John Sebelius, 23, has the backing of his mother and father, U.S. Magistrate Judge Gary Sebelius. Sebelius spokeswoman Nicole Corcoran said both parents “are very proud of their son John’s creativity and talent.”

What creativity and talent you might ask?

“Fight your way through 6 different exciting locations in hopes of being granted parole,” the site says. “Escape prison riots in The Yard, slip glass into a mob boss’ lasagna in the Cafeteria, steal painkillers from the nurse’s desk in the Infirmary, avoid being cornered by the Aryans in the Shower Room, fight off Latin Kings in Gang War, and try not to smoke your entire stash in The Hole.”

The game includes five tokens representing a bag of cocaine, a handgun and three characters: wheelchair-using ‘Wheelz,” muscle-flexing “Anferny” and business suit-clad “Sal ‘the Butcher.”‘

Corcoran said John Sebelius sought legal advice to be sure he followed proper requirements, and he even took out a loan on his own to pay for the production of his work.

What was KS thinking?

Barack O’Barf Obama Alert

MAJOR barf alert! Seriously, what do you do with someone who is this freaking stupid?!obama_11.jpg Walk in love? Not for me today, thanks.

If you are not signed up to receive daily updates from Life News, and you are interested in the politics that are played daily regarding abortion, I highly recommend it. Steve Ertelt works hard to keep us informed.

Take Obama trying to spin his votes favoring partial birth abortion for example:

Washington, DC (LifeNews.com) — Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama gave a recent interview to Christianity Today magazine and said he wants to do more than previous Democratic candidates in pursuing evangelical voters. But when told his pro-abortion views are a turnoff to pro-life advocates, Obama was unapologetic in his defense of unlimited abortion. …

…”I do think that those who diminish the moral elements of the decision aren’t expressing the full reality of it,” he said. “But what I believe is that women do not make these decisions casually, and that they struggle with it fervently with their pastors, with their spouses, with their doctors.”

“Our goal should be to make abortion less common, that we should be discouraging unwanted pregnancies, that we should encourage adoption wherever possible,” Obama told the magazine. Full article

Sounds like a plan you jerk. I’m sure the babies who are being stabbed in the back of the head with scissors and then having their brains sucked out would prefer to be adopted by parents who love them.

Oh, and talk about keeping pastors busy! Over a million children murdered per year in the United States. And to think, these women are struggling fervently with their clergy coming to this decision. Wow, Obama almost spins it to make it look like the clergy are advising mothers to kill their children.  I give you DemonRATS at their best ladies and gentlemen.

My friend, Sam Pierce, has the best plan for these demonRAT fools:

Someone called into The Wilkow Majority today with a good suggestion, a plan to execute death row prisoners by piercing the base of the skull with scissors, spreading the opening, and vacuuming out the contents of the skull.

This would at least get some of the twisted anti-capitol punishment, pro-abortion people to acknowledge the brutality of this procedure!
