Now that it’s all said and done, announced, lobbied, discussed, amended, debated, voted and voted some more, what do we have left to show from the 2009 Louisiana Legislative Fiscal Session?

For starters, this is the first session in fifty years that when the state has projected a revenue shortfall NO NEW TAXES passed!

Here are a few other distinctive notes:
* No life support given to the Stelly Tax Increase
* Not a single anti-family bill passed
* Not a single gambling expansion bill passed
* Not a single Planned Parenthood or ACLU-friendly bill passed

Here are some affirmative measures:
* Healthcare Workers’ Conscience Act passed!
* Human-Animal Hybrid Ban passed!
* Choose Life License Plate Funding Fix passed!

CRAWFISH NOTE: Republican Govenor and growing number of Republicans in the legislature…plus some angry voters…
and looky looky the difference from the ole democrat overtax and overspend tradition!
IT CAN BE DONE!
