WHEN SCIENCE GOES “BAD”
The University of East Anglia’s Climatic Research Unit has reversed its long-standing policy and agreed to make its climate database public so that other researchers can check the conclusions that have been reached by global warming alarmists who, until now, have been the only ones with access to the data. What is not clear from this report is whether the formulas and calculations that were applied to the data to obtain published results will also be made public………and so on…Nov 2009.

A crucial part of my job for 27 years was to teach college frosh Biology and Zoology. The heart of this science teaching was a day on “the nature of science” early on in every course. The mere fact that “research” data is hidden is WRONG, borderline evil actually (except perhaps military nuclear-type secrets).
Science requires that the world of researchers be able to “verify-duplicate” ANY research data-procedure-result. It fact checks itself and always has until GW arrived as the latest crisis. The mere fact “global warming data” had to be pursued via a FOI Act = huge red flag.
All this secrecy strongly suggests BAD science research…there are no legit excuses. Of course the modern liberal (secular socialist) avoids debate, microphones and the truth (reality) 24-7.
Now we hear that a mere 3 trees with the “desired rings” were used to change decades of data and the trees contrary to that desired data were avoided…sounds like creative research by democrats seeking tax $$$ for “PC” (aka acceptable) grants.
Science is about discovering TRUTH, inconvenient or not.

My experience with public education has been that it is less about educating students as it is about indoctrinating them into the socialist view of the world. A high school graduate from my era would not have been sucked into the the AGW lie because the first thing we would have pointed out is that when the first ice age ended (with a period of global warming) the population of man on the earth was neglible…therefor it couldn’t have been caused by man. This opens up to serious questions the idea that we are now the cause of GW. As a college graduate and having had the scientific method pounded into my brain by numerous professors, the “science” behind AGW doesn’t stand up to scrutiny because nowhere is the scientific method followed. Lastly, the math used to analyze the data doesn’t stand up. Just because you come up with an equation, plug in a bunch of numbers and get a result doesn’t mean that the data used was valid. Using tree rings to predict temperatures without hard data to back it up is a lot like using phrenology to diagnose seizures in people who have been dead for 200 years. It may sound good but if there is no hard data to back it up, it’s really just guessing. I was taught that you try really, really hard in science not to guess
