Ironic Surrealism II

It is not fear that grips me… only a heightened sense of things.

What unmitigated gall! A blatant misinterpration of facts! The level of disrespect this proves, is off the charts!

Military parents join Munsil in denouncing Arizona 9-11 Memorial

Joined by parents of several military personnel killed in Iraq, Republican gubernatorial candidate Len Munsil on Monday called for replacement of the recently dedicated Arizona 9-11 Memorial because of inscriptions that they said insult America either by words or omission.

9/11 memorial messages called political

Republican Len Munsil vowed Monday to tear down the Arizona Sept. 11 Memorial in the state Capitol Mall if elected governor.

Munsil, who is running against Democratic Gov. Janet Napolitano, said some messages on the new monument are objectionable and can’t be trusted.

Flanked by family members of soldiers killed in Iraq and Afghanistan, Munsil blasted the $500,000 monument’s inscriptions as being political commentary on war rather than historical fact on the terrorist attacks.

Shock and Awe @ Espresso Pundit

I visited the 9/11 memorial on the Capitol grounds in Phoenix on Tuesday, and I was stunned by what I saw.

Here’s how the Governor describes the memorial.

According to governor spokeswoman Shilo Mitchell , Napolitano described the memorial as being ” unique, bold, educational and unforgettable,” she said. ” The memorial uses the sun to articulate words and thoughts.”

The memorial is an elevated flat ring with phrases cut through the metal. Throughout the day, the sun shines through the ring and phrases become visible on the side walk.

The Jawa report How Did Arizona “9/11 Memorial” Become Moonbat Hate-America Shrine?

Arizona has erected a supposed memorial to the victims of 9/11 that not only looks like an Islamic crescent from the air (reminiscent of the “crescent of embrace” proposed for the Flight 93 memorial), but features America-bashing inscriptions.
