Briton marries bin Laden’s son

Jane Felix-Browne, a 51-year-old grandmother and parish councillor from Cheshire, has until now kept her marriage to Omar Osama bin Laden, 27, secret from everyone apart from her immediate family and close friends. But she has now agreed to speak about her relationship with bin Laden’s fourth eldest son.

“I hope that people will take a step back and think what it was like when they fell in love. He is the most beautiful person I have ever met. His heart is pure, he is pious, quiet, a true gentleman, and he is my best friend.”

They were married in Islamic ceremonies in Egypt and Saudi Arabia and are awaiting permission from the authorities in Riyadh to make their marriage official.

Mrs Felix-Browne already knew some members of the bin Laden family through her Islamic marriage to a Saudi man in London when she was 16. She believes that she actually met Osama bin Laden at a party in London in the 1970s.

Omar bin Laden left Saudi Arabia as a child when his father was expelled for his extremist beliefs, his wife said. Living in exile in Sudan and then Afghanistan, he saw at first hand the creation of al-Qaeda and its techniques.

She said that her husband left Afghanistan before the attacks on the US on September 11, 2001. However, some reports claim that he split from his father only after the attack on New York and an argument about tactics.

Apart from their religion the couple appear to have little in common. She has three sons and five grandchildren and is a respected parish councillor in the village of Moulton.

Mrs Felix-Browne, who now uses the Islamic name Zaina Mohamad,

Now she hopes that Mr bin Laden will come to Britain. “He would like to spend quite a bit of time here,” she said. “There is no reason why he should not come to live, but I don’t think he would like the weather.”

Mrs Felix-Browne said that the couple hoped to use their position to help to heal the wounds caused by her father-in-law. “All we want is peace in this world and I will do all I can to promote it.”

Felix-Browne said she has become Omar bin Laden’s second wife, and is hoping to arrange a visa for her new husband to visit Britain, but acknowledged it would be difficult.

Would anyone know if this is a factual bio of Omar, Osama’s son?

Omar Awad bin Laden; (born c 1981) son of Osama and Najwa; Omar accompanied Osama on his exile to Sudan from 1991-1996, and then to Afghanistan after that. Reportedly organized the U.S. branch of the World Congress of Muslim Youth in Falls Church, Virginia during the 1990s with his brother Abdallah. He returned to Saudi Arabia after an apparent falling-out with his father over the September 11 attacks, which he saw as a strategic blunder that led to the fall of the Taliban. Omar runs his own company in Jeddah dealing in scrap metals. Omar recently married his now second wife, who is half English, and it is reported that their mutual love of horses brought them together. She is a devoted wife who is reportedly deeply in love with her new husband. She is writing a book about her life, and the trials and tribulations since their marriage.

At 17 Osama married the first of five wives. One, author Kola Boof, claims that she was kept in Morocco as a sex slave against her will. Since that time, bin Laden has fathered 24 children. Two of his sons, Omar and Abdallah bin Laden, organized the U.S. branch of the World Congress of Muslim Youth in Falls Church, Virginia during the 1990s.
If you are wondering why Osama’s sons were allowed to establish an Islamic center just outside Washington, or why they were allowed to leave after 9/11/2001, the answer is George Bush authorized their departure and his administration prevented the FBI from investigating Omar and Abdallah bin Laden and their World Congress of Muslim Youth. The reason: because it would be embarrassing to the Sauds and George W. Bush cares more about them than Americans. They are his partners after all.

Others report that the Omar bin Laden linked to the ‘World Congress of Muslim Youth’ was a cousin or a nephew of Osama.

She was aware before her marriage that her husband already had another wife and a two-year-old child. “I haven’t seen her but I have spoken to her for about an hour on the telephone,” she said. “She is fine about it.”

Thankfully because her marriage is polygamous it won’t be recognised in the UK and that should scupper her hopes of getting him into the country.

Finally polygamy is good for something…

What could one make of this? She is 51 and he is 27. Does this not sound like he wishes for a visa into Britain? Or am I to suspicious? On the other hand, there may not be an ounce of truth to this….
If anything, this has got to be the strangest news item of the week…

Update: “The only reason I would like to meet his father is to ask, ‘Did you do it [the September 11 attacks] and if you did, why?’ ” she said. “I want to understand why it happened because it was a tragic event which led to tens of thousands of other people dying.”

She hopes to use her position as the daughter-in-law of the world’s most wanted terrorist to help to promote peace in the Middle East.

“I knew there will be interest because the son of the most wanted man in the world is married to a British woman,” she said. “If I can do anything because of who I am married to and try to end some of the fighting in the world then I will do it.

Oh,..the irony!

Update 2: A spokesperson for the British Consulate said Omar bin Laden’s application was rejected because he had failed to provide them with his father’s permanent address, CBS News has learned.
