Edit/ Bumping this post up..way up. Original time stamp September 9 2006
I am in the middle of tagging all imported posts. Came across this and figured I would share it again.
Announcing, my newly adopted
battle cry against all moonbats,
and cohorts et al.
How deliciously ironic! While working on the following
sheehan story, I thought what a bunch of lunatics.
And it dawned on me, then and there how fitting
Tom Cochrane’s song” Lunatic Fringe” was. %-}
Pour yourself a drink, play the video and sing along.
Enjoy!

Lunatic Fringe
I know you’re out there
You’re in hiding
And you hold your meetings
We can hear you coming
We know what you’re after
We’re wise to you this time
We won’t let you kill the laughter
Lunatic Fringe
In the twilight’s last gleaming
This is open season
But you won’t get too far
We know you’ve got to blame someone
For your own confusion
But we’re on guard this time
Against your final solution
We can hear you coming
(We can hear you coming)
No you’re not going to win this time
We can hear the footsteps
(We can hear the footsteps)
Way out along the walkway
Lunatic Fringe
We know you’re out there
But in these new dark ages
There will still be light
An eye for an eye
Well, before you go under
Can you feel the resistance
Can you feel the….thunder
History behind the words.
Tom Cochrane Reflects on past as he moves ahead
When Cochrane wrote Lunatic Fringe he was dating a Jewish girl and
was disturbed by the resurgence of anti-semitism in Europe and “the
lunacy of revisionist historians.” His manager at the time warned him
that there was no place in “this disposable pop world” for such lyrics.

Passing the hat. ;)

That is really strange VH. I was thinking about this song while fuming over the demonrats lunacy just a couple of days ago! Great post!
BTW- good luck with your new host/site. Looks like it’s all coming together nicely.

Awesome is the word!
And when one knows of the story behind the song. We can hear the emotion in the words.
And relate on some level. Considering what is going on in the world around us.
