Sign the petition to end birthright citizenship for illegal alien children
8/27/2007I have just launched a new website called BirthrightPetition.com which seeks to clarify the 14th Amendment of the US Constitution. The goal is to end birthright citizenship to the children of illegal aliens.
We need tens of thousands of signatures on this petition, so please forward this email to everyone you know. The petition is in support of H.R. 1940, a bill introduced in the house by Congressman Nathan Deal of Georgia.
It’s going to take a lot more than just signing this petition to achieve this goal. After signing the petition, I want you to look up your Representative’s contact information and give them a call. This will only take a few minutes.
Speak briefly and to the point to the person answering the phone. Ask them to have the Representative co-sponsor the bill H.R.1940 ‘The Birthright Citizenship Act of 2007.’ Right now there are only 79 co-sponsors. We need all 202 Republican members of Congress to co-sponsor this bill and as many Democrats as possible.
There are just three things that I am asking of you.
1.) Sign the petition.
2.) Call your Representative and ask them to co-sponsor H.R.1940 ‘The Birthright Citizenship Act of 2007′ if they are not already a co-sponsor.
3.) Forward this email to everyone you know. (And/or blog it - VH)
Please use your current email address when signing the petition. I will be contacting you in the future with more action alerts similar to this one. You can opt out of these email alerts at any time by clicking on the unsubscribe link that you see at the bottom of this page. Your email address will never be given out to anyone.
This website has more information on the 14th Amendment and its misinterpretation.
Elvira Arellano
To motivate you I’d like you to think of Elvira Arellano, the previously deported illegal alien who used a stolen social security number to work illegally in the United States. She thumbed her nose at immigration officials and defied a deportation order by hiding out in a Chicago storefront church for an entire year.
She claimed it would be inhumane to deport her and separate her from her American born son. The whereabouts of the boy’s father has never been determined and Elvira has used the little boy as a political tool for the past year.
Last week she was captured and deported. There have been marches and vigils across the country to show support for her and other illegal alien parents with American born children.
In this video, Elvira Arellano had the audacity to say that the United States was the one that broke the law first, because we allowed her to sneak back into the country without documents, and then we took out taxes from the paychecks she received using her stolen social security number!
Elvira Arellano Protests From Mexico
Editor’s Note: Elvira Arellano was a symbol for many undocumented [illegal aliens - VH] immigrants. She sought shelter in a church and lived there for a year until she left with her son for LA where she was arrested and deported. This is NAM’s exclusive interview with her.Why do you think you were arrested and deported now?
They always had plans to deport me because I speak out. They saw me as a threat to the United States because of the actions I took in favor of legalization. I knew this. They need to send a message to the undocumented.
I don’t suppose your being an illegal alien had anything to do with it.
What effect is this having on your son, Saul?
It’s very difficult for him. He still can’t believe that I won’t return to be with him in the United States. Yesterday was very difficult for him. He had to watch as they arrested me and that scared him a lot. I tried to calm him. It hurt me to see my son watch. I hurt me deeply (sobbing). Yesterday was difficult for me and the evening was more difficult because he wasn’t with me.
You had every opportunity to take him along with you back HOME. You choose not to.
If you hadn’t committed the criminal act of entering the US illegally, then the very scenario you’ve recounted would never had occurred. Elvira, you yourself put your child through that harrowing experience! His emotional distress is on your hands and your hands alone! And not only are you guilty of the above, you are guilty of abandoning your child. Mother of the Year you are not!
Where is he now?
He has a very difficult choice. He wants to be in his country (the US), but he also wants to be with me. I’m giving him the space to think and decide what he wants. He loves me and I think that in a few days he will probably decide to be with his mother.
I’m not obligating him to stay with me in Mexico. I’m giving him time to think about what he wants to do. If he wants to keep struggling for me that’s his choice. I’m not going to oblige him to come to Mexico. He’s always been a part of the struggle.
I’m not obligating him to do anything. I’m not that kind of mother. He is speaking out because he wants to be with his mother.
1.) “If he wants to keep struggling for me that’s his choice. He’s always been a part of the struggle.” How much pressure should a small boy be put under? Why is left to him to choose? For the love of God he has no way to fully comprehend the situation. He has always been “part of the struggle” because he was thrown into it courtesy of his so called mother.
2.) “He’s on his way to Los Angeles right now to attend a protest.” Saul is being exploited, which I find to be shameful. He is only 7 years old!
3.) “I’m not obligating him to stay with me in Mexico. I’m giving him time to think about what he wants to do.” Again fruit loop, he is ONLY 7!
4.) “I’m not obligating him to do anything. I’m not that kind of mother. He is speaking out because he wants to be with his mother.” Speak the truth, he has been left behind to gain sympathy and to be used as a political pawn.
Warning this next quote may cause steam to come out of your ears. It did mine.
We have supported self-determination and opposed assimilation into this nation’s individualistic, imperialistic values. We have taught that our people did not come here because of the American Dream but because of what the
American nightmare did to our countries of origin. We have asserted that our demand to be here and to be fully enfranchised here is a right not a privilige and a destiny of our people to transform this nation.
This is the position of Pueblo Sin Fronteras/La Familia Latina Unida.
This is the position of Elvira Arellano whose faith and defiance and and humility and commitment to the people inspire has inspired all of us to serve our people and not use our people.
On a side note Elvira should of taken advantage of…

I was wondering what you thought about those who are not exactly illegal but have an anchor baby. I have heard of people coming to the US on a tourist visa just to have a baby. That also makes me angry.

Hello Amb and welcome.
If such occurs then it is an underhanded deceitful act. Which could be looked upon as worse than an illegal becoming pregnant after sneaking into the US. As it would be a premeditated.
Yet another reason why the birth right citizenship issue needs to be addressed.

How the hell can a mother do that to her own son?!!? He is to young to know. She is just using him to promote he own agenda… poor kid doesn’t stand a chance.

Hello Brian
Exactly my point. I as soon loose my life, than to be separated from any child of mine. Saul being separated from his mother is unnecessary and intentional.
Maybe that is how and why he came into this world to begin with. A bouncing baby pawn.

“A bouncing baby pawn.” Once again hit the nail on the head. It’s sad, but so very true.

Thank you Brian. Good to see you again.
If not a planned pregnancy for a political pawn, I admit that may be a stretch. But to give birth to an anchor baby in order to stay in the US, well that may not be to far from the truth.
