Ironic Surrealism II

It is not fear that grips me… only a heightened sense of things.

Knights Templar win heresy reprieve after 700 years

A detail is shown on a replica document in which Pope Clement V absolved the Knights Templar of charges of heresy, in Rome October 9, 2007. A reproduction of the Latin-language minutes of trials against the Knights Templar in 1308, lost until its rediscovery in 2001, is being published by the Vatican Secret Archives at the end October. The documents, a book and parchments, costs 5,900 euros and its 799 numbered copies are destined for top libraries and medieval scholars. Picture taken October 9, 2007. REUTERS/Alessandro Bianchi

The Templars, whose full name was “Poor Fellow-Soldiers of Christ and of the Temple of Solomon”, were founded in 1119 by knights sworn to protecting Christian pilgrims visiting the Holy Land after the Crusaders captured Jerusalem in 1099.

The most titillating part of the documents is the so-called Chinon Parchment, which contains phrases in which Pope Clement V absolves the Templars of charges of heresy, which had been the backbone of King Philip’s attempts to eliminate them.

Templars were burned at the stake for heresy by King Philip’s agents after they made confessions that most historians believe were given under duress.

Philip was heavily indebted to the Templars, who had helped him finance his wars, and getting rid of them was a convenient way of cancelling his debts, some historians say. Original article.

And it’s bloody well time, too. Let us just take it for granted that the petro dollar rulers/Saudi royal family take it for granted that they own the world — there is no dar al-harb; everyone is beholden to them.

If freedom is to come, it will be from a newly raised Knights Templar from this global dhimmitude.

    Morning Athos
    Good to see you.

Yes it is “bloody well time” isn’t it.

Perhaps a rebirth of the Knights Templar is what we need…

your blog has a lot of information foreign to me. heard of Crusades but don’t really understand much about it. I am from another part of the world, you see and more familiar with things like meditation and dhamma. Yes, when you stand up and fight, I hope it’s not against me! Interesting blog!

I on the other hand do not much if any of ‘meditation and dhamma’ Are you a Buddhist? If so I think that is wonderful. So no, I would not be fighting against you. :)

    Take care,
    Velvet

Yes, I am Buddhist, but that’s not important. I am human, first. I have clicked the link above, oh! I do understand now. Keep up your good work and feel free to leave links in my blog. I love to click in again! And I wonder if you have in your blog anything on Dunhuang, what happened there in the past.

    How right you are. :)
Thank your for your praise. Happy to help. Come back anytime, you are always welcome. I have enjoyed visiting with you. Together we can perhaps widen our knowledge.

No I have not done anything on Dunhuang. I do not know much of it. I did surf around today and learned a bit. Sorry I can not help you there.

    Take care,
    - VH

Dun Huang, in China is famous for its cave temple. It’s an ancient city along the famous silk road. The temple has been attacked in ancient time and many treasures including religious manuscripts were sealed in a cave only to be discovered later.

That saddens me when ever I hear of such an awful thing. Unfortunately such cases are nearly as old as time itself. ‘Evil’ has always targeted ‘good’. Evil is jealous of good. Evil wishes to destroy good.

Satan has always roamed the earth. This may sound silly, but I feel his earthly presence has become stronger.

A quick search brought a wealth of info.

By the way I do both meditation and fight for Truth.
