For the love of God. The psychosis fueled savage barbaric Cult of Islam must be stopped! It’s adherents must suffer from a collective mental illness. There is no other explanation for it. It causes a mob mentality feeding frenzy at the drop of a hat.
Perhaps it could be partially linked to the long history of inbreeding…
Mob calls for execution of teddy teacher as peer launches rescue mission
Thousands of Sudanese men, many armed with clubs and knives, protested in Khartoum today calling for the execution of the British teacher who allowed a teddy bear to be called Mohamed.
The protesters emerged from Khartoum’s
mosques < — monumental clue!
after Friday prayers and gathered outside the presidential palace shouting slogans against Gillian Gibbons as riot police looked on.
The rowdy scenes took place as it emerged that a senior Labour peer was launching a private rescue mission to try to secure the early release of the 54-year-old teacher.
Ms Gibbons was sentenced to 15 days in jail after being convicted of inciting religious hatred for letting her pupils at one of the city’s schools name a toy bear Mohamed.
Lord Ahmed, Britain’s first Muslim peer, is due to fly out to Khartoum this afternoon, raising hopes that the mother of two, from Liverpool, could be freed soon.
Some protesters taunted Western journalists by drawing a finger across their throats while others burnt newspapers that carried pictures of Ms Gibbons on the front page. The scenes in Martyrs Square, outside the palace, were becoming increasingly ugly.
When The Times attempted to report on the demonstration, thought to be organized by extremists who were whipping up anti-Western feelings, its reporter was threatened and forced to leave the area. Continued.
Update: Respect, Religion, and the Teddy Bear @ de-conversion
I leave A.C. Grayling to conclude:
… all who have secure grounds for their views should not be afraid of robust challenge and criticism ; if they are confident in their views they should be able to shrug off satire and mockery. The more insecure people are, the less confident they feel, the less mature their outlook is, the angrier they are made by what they label as ‘offence’ to their religious sensitivities - even to the point of violence. They undermine and refute themselves thus. (p.9 in Grayling, A.C. (2007) Against All Gods. London: Oberon Books.)
- A Thinking Man
I have had argued this point with a Muslim blogger. I of course was told that if Christians do not become offended and outraged at what could be construed as blasphemous. Then our faith must be weak. I replied that no that is not the case our faith is strong but I/we do not expect all to respect our religion to the level of which some Muslims display. They on the other hand as stated in the above A.C. Grayling quote must be the insecure ones. Islam must indeed be fragile for it’s followers to go to such lengths as calling for the death of a non-muslim when respect is not shown as they expect..nay demand. Quite telling, quite frustrating, and quite transparent to those looking in from the outside.

Absolutely ridiculous! Freaking animals!
The only one complaining should be that freaking teddy bear stuck with the name of a famous pedophile. Sheesh!

This is what all too many think about Christianity. The legions of the likes of Richard Dawkins are many, and growing. I’m kinda thinking that the tools that will become starkly obviously necessary to fight Islamic ridiculousness might very well be turned against all “religion” as “the enemy of the people”. Ok - call that silly paranoia. Whatever. In the end, it’s like Billy Graham said: “I’ve read the last page of the Bible, everything turns out alright”.

I wouldn’t be surprised if there are a few more teddy bears named mohammed around the world recently.
Just as a completely unrelated aside - I understand Denmark makes some pretty nice teddy bears.

In all the excitement has anyone stopped to feel sorry for the poor little teddy bear? Forever doomed to bear the name of a pedophile, that poor bear deserves better!
