The race card.

“There’s clearly a matter of heart going on here,” Bennett says after his morning radio show. “He’s a cool guy, a handsome guy, has a fabulous voice. A leading Democratic candidate, a black man in America, and he does not talk about race, does not play the race card. It appeals to the better angels of all our natures.”

I beg to differ.
First of all, there is no need. His wife Michelle covered that base back in November. Or does that fact not count?

According to Mrs. Obama, her husband isn’t polling better among African-Americans because in the back of their minds, many blacks think “others” are better.

And again as she continues to stress’ the ‘racial’ issue, in South Carolina no less…

“I know folks talk in barbershops and beauty salons, and I’ve heard some folks say, ‘That Barack, he seems like a nice guy, but I’m not sure America’s ready for a black president,‘ ” Michelle Obama told a crowd Tuesday at historically black South Carolina State University.

“We’ve heard those voices before, voices that say, ‘Maybe you should wait’ — you know? — ‘You can’t do it,’” she said. “It’s the bitter legacy of racism and discrimination and oppression in this country.”

But at the core of her message in South Carolina is her argument that Obama, more than Clinton, former North Carolina senator John Edwards or any other presidential candidate, will do more for blacks because he understands them better.

“Ask yourselves,” she admonished the crowd at South Carolina State, “who will fight to lift black men up so we don’t have to keep locking them up? Who will confront racial profiling? Voter disenfranchisement?”

Oh that Michelle. She sure knows how to lay it on thick. What a card! Heh.

But then again Obama has spoken of the ‘White’ race in not so glowing terms…

*Meanwhile, Obama would describe his grandparents, the people who raised him, as “white folk.”

*He cherishes every cause for complaint he can discern against white folks. He is constantly distressed at being half-white. Obama says he “ceased to advertise my mother’s race at the age of twelve or thirteen, when I began to suspect that by doing so I was ingratiating myself to whites.”

*Obama’s once described the white race as “that ghostly figure that haunted black dreams.”

“That hate hadn’t gone away,” he wrote, blaming “white people — some cruel, some ignorant, sometimes a single face, sometimes just a faceless image of a system claiming power over our lives.”

*During college, Obama disapproved of what he called other “half-breeds” who gravitated toward whites instead of blacks. And yet after college, he once fell in love with a white woman, only to push her away when he concluded he would have to assimilate into her world, not the other way around.

It is that fundamental belief — it is that fundamental belief — I am my brother’s keeper, I am my sisters’ keeper — that makes this country work.
It’s what allows us to pursue our individual dreams, yet still come together as a single American family: “E pluribus unum,” out of many, one.
Now even as we speak, there are those who are preparing to divide us, the spin masters and negative ad peddlers who embrace the politics of anything goes.
Well, I say to them tonight, there’s not a liberal America and a conservative America; there’s the United States of America.
There’s not a black America and white America and Latino America and Asian America; there’s the United States of America.

Here is the word. Have you heard?
Obama is not an African American.

He is not fully black. All people see is his skin color and assume…

He is of African (Kenyan) descent (one half) and his mother was a white woman from Kansas.
So he is first generation half blooded Kenyan Muslim American, and half White. I do not believe his father was a citizen. He was only in the US to go to school (college) when finished he returned to Kenya.

There is nothing African American about him. Since his father was not an American. He is an American no doubt about that. But is he, could he, by any stretch of the imagination be considered an ‘African American’? American? Yes. African American? Not so much. There may be those that disagree. To each his own.

So there you have it folks. Pitiful is it not? Playing the race card on someone who is half white. Why do we not hear more of Obama’s ‘other side’, the White side. It would not likely help the ‘first black’ presidential candidate would it? Not when you have a ‘race card’ up your sleeve.

He could take a lesson from Tiger Woods.

And then Tiger Woods said he wasn’t actually “black” at all — he was “Cablinasian.”

Woods made his remarks on “Oprah,” when he was asked if it bothered him to be called an African-American. “It does,” he said. “Growing up, I came up with this name: I’m a ‘Cablinasian.’” As in Caucasian-black-Indian-Asian. Woods has a black father (or to be precise, if I am interpreting Woods’ reported ancestry correctly, a half-black, one-quarter American Indian, one-quarter white father) and a Thai mother (or, with the same caveat, a half-Thai, half-Chinese mother). “I’m just who I am,” Woods told Oprah Winfrey, “whoever you see in front of you.”

Woods’ coming out as a Cablinasian caused “a mini-racial firestorm … Woods’ remarks infuriated many African Americans who … see him as a traitor …

A young man speaks open and honestly about his heritage and he is attacked. The date, April 30, 1997. In closing the author ‘Gary Kamiya’ asks “Does Tiger Woods’ refusal to be racially pigeonholed signal the beginning of the end for racial identity politics?”

I’m afraid not…

Personally I do not care one way or the other. It is a non-issue. I would not vote for Obama if he were White, purple or green. It is his politics, not his skin color. It is not what is on the outside, it is what is in the inside. Sure Obama is charismatic, charming, a wonderful speaker, and seems at ease with himself and those around him. But is that enough? Fine attributes, but they do not a great president make. We need a president who can make the tough decisions, who will stand tall for this great country and what she deserves. Obama will plunge America into a socialist nightmare, and his foreign policy will be disastrous.

The socialist card.

* 2007 - On the 28th, Obama said that, as president, he would relax drug sentencing laws and address vast racial inequities in the justice system as part of his crime policy.

* 2007 - Obama, sharing his vision of America as welfare state with the annual meeting of the National Council of La Raza, compared last year’s massive immigration rallies, led by Hispanics, to the civil-rights marches of African-Americans in the 1960’s.

* 1996 - 2000 His political history in Illinois shows that Obama has proven himself to be a nearly perfect Progressive-Democrat.

Obama supports homosexual marriage, racial preferences, gun control, flag-burning, socialized medicine and the absolute right to abortion, including partial-birth abortions. He voted against requiring medical care for aborted fetuses who survive.

Obama [inserted link - VH] opposed the Born Alive Infant Protection Act four times in Illinois. A similar bill passed the U.S. Senate 98-0. The Born Alive bill would have prohibited a baby from being born alive but left to die according to the mother’s wishes.

Obama opposed this bill not once, twice, or three times, but four times.

Obama refused to vote for a bill in the Illinois State Senate that would have increased penalties for drug traffickers.

Obama voted against a bill that would have delivered the death penalty to gang members who murder first responders.

Obama was the only member of the Illinois State Senate to vote against a bill that prohibited early release for sexual predators.

Meanwhile Rick Moran asks “Just who are we electing here, a President or God Almighty?“”Obamania!” Heavy on the mania!

Obama also tap dances around the Muslim question and his religious upbringing in general. He is a member of for all intents and purposes a ‘black separatist church. Who by the way, has only just recently honored ‘Louis Farrakhan’ with an “Empowerment Award” for his “Lifetime Achievement” in the realm of “Social Justice”.

Isn’t that rich?

And what have we here?

Did Project Islamic Hope place Obama’s photo on their banner to add political clout to their cause, unbeknownest to him? Well apparently Obama has rubbed elbows with the ‘Project Islamic Hope’ crowd. Here is a photo taken from their website.

* 2007 - In March, Obama tells the Muscatine, Illinois Democratic party activists that he supports relaxing restrictions on aid to the Palestinian people. He said they have suffered the most as a result of stalled peace efforts with Israel. “Nobody is suffering more than the Palestinian people.“

* 2001 - Obama is also protective of civil rights for Muslims in the U.S., saying, “In the wake of 9/11, my meetings with Arab and Pakistani Americans have a more urgent quality, for the stories of detentions and FBI questioning and hard stares from neighbors have shaken their sense of security and belonging,” he laments. “I will stand with them should the political winds shift in an ugly direction.”

* 2001 - Obama sponsors Illinois Senate Bill 750 creating the “Halal Food Act,” providing for inspections by the Department of Agriculture to ensure that all food labeled Halal is prepared according to Islamic law.

* 2007 - Muslim Americans for Obama ‘08′ features the masthead comment, “DONATE TODAY: One $1 DOLLAR for ONE NATION UNDER GOD”

In case there is any doubt as to which “God” these folks are speaking of, the first two paragraphs make it abundantly clear.

* 2005- Ethical questions surround Obama’s shady real estate deal and relationship with indicted political fundraiser and Arab-American activist Tony Rezko, who befriended Obama during his Harvard days.

Obama bought a $1,650,000 Georgian revival mansion at a gigantic discounted price, some $300,000 less than the asking price. The same day, Rezko’s wife bought the adjoining lot, paying the full $625,000 asking price.

The Rezko lot wasn’t accessible from the public street. However, it abuts Obama’s property and provided a private preserve that adds to its ambience. Obama bought the Rezko property for $104,500 — $520,500 less than Rezko’s wife paid for it.

Did Tony Rezko and his wife subsidize the purchase of Obama’s opulent home?

Mr. Obama turned to Mr. Rezko for help at several important junctures. Records show that when Mr. Obama needed cash in the waning days of his losing 2000 Congressional campaign, Mr. Rezko rounded up thousands of dollars from business contacts. In 2003, Mr. Rezko helped Mr. Obama expand his fund-raising for the Senate primary by being host of a dinner at his Mediterranean-style home for 150 people, including some whose names have since come up in the influence scandal.

Beyond that, what does it cost to furnish and move into a $2,275,000 home — another $500,000?

At any rate, this is pretty good for a guy earning $165,200 per and who once ran his credit cards up so high that the credit card company denied him access to further use of his card.
