Embedded new video code as previous code was no longer working and I have also added additional content.

Or at the very least, allow me to pose these questions. Whose pocket will Obama be in if he becomes president? Whose puppet will he be? How much influence does his Minister the Rev. Jeremiah Wright Jr. have with the presidential hopeful? With Louis Farrakhan being a revered person within Trinity United Church of Christ how does that factor in?

Update: August 15 2008
TUCC has repeatedly removed any copies of Louis Farrkhan being honored with Rev. Dr. Jeremiah A. Wright, Jr. Lifetime Achievement Trumpeteer” Award at the 2007 Trumpet Gala held on November 2, at the Hyatt Regency Chicago video from YouTube.
No big surprise there!!!
Never fear I found another copy. Thanks to Sweetness & Light!

Here is Trinity United Church of Christ’s video commemorating Farrakhan’s life..
Spit! Spit! Spit!
What a conundrum. A presidential candidate linked to a ‘black power’ church who places Louis Farrakhan of the radical ‘Nation of Islam’ up on a pedestal. They honor him and refer to him as ‘minister’??? WTH? Don’t they mean to say, Iman? Heh…

Farrakhan awarded in Obama’s pastor’s name @YouTube

Video of award ceremony in 2007 of Obama’s church. Louis Farrakhan is given the Jeremiah Wright award. Wright is Obama’s long time pastor. This is a compilation video put together honoring Farrakhan right before he is given the award. The church has removed this video from every site. I finally found it on rapidshare.

Oh and by the way http://www.trumpetmag.com/current_issue.cfm is no longer available either. It was a link to the issue of Trumpet magazine which mentioned Farrakhan and his award. TUCC has scrubbed their website.

An Empowerment Interview The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan - Nov/Dec 2007 Feature @Scribd

TRUMPET NOVEMBER/DECEMBER 2007 www.trumpetmag.com COVERAGE Empowerment Interview by Rhoda McKinney-Jones An The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan it’s not often that one gets to interview an icon. Someone called by a singular moniker and everyone knows of whom you speak— a person who can walk into a room and cause pause because of his physical presence and historical significance. That’s exactly what I was privileged to do a few days ago from my humble kitchen perch. I interviewed the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan by phone on everything I could think to ask in 15 fleeting minutes. The Minister’s voice was strong, smooth and steadfast, giving no hint of the health challenges that have plagued him the last few years. He talked about the future of the Nation of Islam, his hope for the faith, his pride in African American people, his love of music and the state of Black America. Then of course, when prodded, he talked of his legacy. I asked questions in quick succession and he willingly responded, eloquently quoting biblical scripture, speaking in parables and peppering his answers with references to the Quran, Malcolm X, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., and the Honorable Elijah Muhammad. He spoke and I couldn’t help but listen and learn. “When Minister Farrakhan speaks, Black America listens,” says the Rev. Dr. Jeremiah A. Wright, likening the Minister’s influence to the E. F. Hutton commercials of old. “Everybody may not agree with him, but they listen…His depth on analysis when it comes to the racial ills of this nation is astounding and eye opening. He brings a perspective that is helpful and honest. “Minister Farrakhan will be remembered as one of the 20th and 21st century giants of the African American religious experience,” continues Wright. “His integrity and honesty have secured him a place in history as one of the nation’s most powerful critics. His love for Africa and African American people has made him an unforgettable force, a catalyst for change and a religious leader who is sincere about his faith and his purpose.” The Louis Farrakhan story is one most of us already know, but that does not diminish its import or impact. Born Louis Eugene Walcott, 73-years ago in the Bronx and raised in Roxbury, MA, the I former Calypso singer and classically trained violinist, knew there was a greater calling on his life. That calling began with his joining the Nation in 1955 and changing his name to Louis X. Since that time, the rest, one could say, is history. The Minister helped breathe new life into the Nation after the death of Elijah Muhammad, attracting thousands upon thousands of young, eager, African American men who found a home in the faith, pride in themselves and a leader in the Minister. From the streets of Chicago’s South Side to the Million Man March and to the greater Islamic world, the Minister has and is making a difference. But that road has not been an easy one, as his friend Father Michael L. Pfleger of St. Sabina Church in Chicago explains. “Minister Farrakhan is probably one of the most misunderstood and mis-defined leaders of our day,” says Pfleger. “When you don’t want to deal with someone’s truth, you try to destroy their character or redefine them…That’s what the media has sought to do with Minister Farrakhan. His truth causes America to face its racism and its hypocrisy.” “Minister Farrakhan has been a personal friend for more than 20 years,” continues Pfleger. “His leadership has evolved, and I believe the coming days will see him as a unifying force, calling real Christians, real Jews and real Muslims to come together on principles of truth and justice… Contrary to those who want to make him anti-white and anti-Semitic, I believe Minister Farrakhan is presently building the umbrella for people of conscience to come together no matter the race or creed. I am honored to call him my brother.” Because of the Minister’s influence in the African American community, Trumpet Newsmagazine honors him this winter at its Sounds of the Shore gala with an Empowerment Award. It seemed a fitting tribute for a storied life well lived. And as our brief interview drew to a close and he thanked me for taking the time to talk to him, I could not help but think, the Minister, the man with whom I had been so casually speaking, truly epitomized greatness.

Barrack Obama’s Church Honors ‘Nation of Islam’s’ Farrakhan
As I previously reported on (December 29th, 2007) Barack Obama’s church ‘Trinity United Church of Christembraces Louis Farrakhan head of the ‘Nation of Islam

Pastor inspires Obama’s ‘audacity’

By Manya A. Brachear
January 21, 2007

When he took over Trinity United Church of Christ in 1972, Rev. Jeremiah Wright Jr. was a maverick pastor with a wardrobe of dashikis and a militant message.

Six years later, he planted a “Free South Africa” sign on the lawn of his church and asked other local religious leaders to follow his lead.

None took him up on the invitation.

The sign stayed until the end of apartheid, –long enough to catch the eye of a young Barack Obama, who visited the church in 1985 as a community activist. Obama, was not a churchgoer at the time, but he found himself returning to the sanctuary of Trinity United. In Wright he had found both a spiritual mentor and a role model.

Wright, 65, is a straight-talking pragmatist who arrived in Chicago as an outsider and became an institution. He has built a congregation of 8,500, including the likes of Oprah Winfrey and hip-hop artist Common, by offering an alternative to socially conservative black churches that are, Wright believes, too closely tied to Chicago’s political dynasties…

Obama says that rather than advising him on strategy, Wright helps keep his priorities straight and his moral compass calibrated.

“What I value most about Pastor Wright is not his day-to-day political advice,” Obama said. “He’s much more of a sounding board for me to make sure that I am speaking as truthfully about what I believe as possible and that I’m not losing myself in some of the hype and hoopla and stress that’s involved in national politics.”

The rebellious son of a Baptist minister, Wright was hired by Trinity United when he could find no Baptist church to take him. The congregation on 95th Street, then numbering just 87, had recently adopted the motto “Unashamedly black and unapologetically Christian.” They did not mind his fiery red Afro and black power agenda…

[Wright] eventually returned to Howard University to finish bachelor’s and master’s degrees in English with a focus on African spirituals. At the University of Chicago Divinity School, he earned another master’s in the history of religions with a focus on Islam

In his 1993 memoir “Dreams from My Father,” Obama recounts in vivid detail his first meeting with Wright in 1985. The pastor warned the community activist that getting involved with Trinity might turn off other black clergy because of the church’s radical reputation.

Update: 8/15/08
Since this the original date of this post I have found some highly relevant content.

But Obama admits part of Trinity’s appeal was that it wasn’t affiliated with DCP. “If I joined one of the churches I was already organizing, that might have caused some tensions,” he said. “And part of it was there was an explicitly political aspect to the mission and message of Trinity at that time that I found appealing.”

In that letter, the senator wrote “I constantly remember Rev. Wright as the shepherd who guided me to my commitment to Christ one Sunday morning at Trinity. I often consider, as I work in the Senate how he lives his life-a life of service to Trinity, Chicago and the nation; his activism on behalf of causes that few would champion and his dogged commitment to the first principles of love for God and fellow man. And in my personal walk, I seek daily to imitate his faith.“[…]

I will now reiterate the demands of the Nation of Islam as I posted in my previous article. They bear repeating, trust me. Insane demands on their own. But should a United States presidential candidate be connected in any way shape or form to Farrakhan or his twisted ideals? I say NO!
As taken directly and quoted verbatim from the Nation of Islams website.
What The Muslims Want - Nation of Islam

This is the question asked most frequently by both the whites and the blacks. The answers to this question I shall state as simply as possible.

1. We want freedom. We want a full and complete freedom.

2. We want justice. Equal justice under the law. We want justice applied equally to all, regardless of creed or class or color.

3. We want equality of opportunity. We want equal membership in society with the best in civilized society.

4. We want our people in America whose parents or grandparents were descendants from slaves, to be allowed to establish a separate state or territory of their own–either on this continent or elsewhere. We believe that our former slave masters are obligated to provide such land and that the area must be fertile and minerally rich. We believe that our former slave masters are obligated to maintain and supply our needs in this separate territory for the next 20 to 25 years–until we are able to produce and supply our own needs.

Since we cannot get along with them in peace and equality, after giving them 400 years of our sweat and blood and receiving in return some of the worst treatment human beings have ever experienced, we believe our contributions to this land and the suffering forced upon us by white America, justifies our demand for complete separation in a state or territory of our own

5. We want freedom for all Believers of Islam now held in federal prisons. We want freedom for all black men and women now under death sentence in innumerable prisons in the North as well as the South. (LMAO! They MUST be mentally incapacitated! STHU! & STHD!)

We want every black man and woman to have the freedom to accept or reject being separated from the slave master’s children and establish a land of their own.

We know that the above plan for the solution of the black and white conflict is the best and only answer to the problem between two people.

6. We want an immediate end to the police brutality and mob attacks against the so-called Negro throughout the United States.

We believe that the Federal government should intercede to see that black men and women tried in white courts receive justice in accordance with the laws of the land–or allow us to build a new nation for ourselves, dedicated to justice, freedom and liberty. How does islamic law ’sharia’ fit in with “justice, freedom and liberty

7. As long as we are not allowed to establish a state or territory of our own, we demand not only equal justice under the laws of the United States, but equal employment opportunities- NOW!

We do not believe that after 400 years of free or nearly free labor, sweat and blood, which has helped America become rich and powerful, so many thousands of black people should have to subsist on relief or charity or live in poor houses.

8. We want the government of the United States to exempt our people from ALL taxation as long as we are deprived of equal justice under the laws of the land.

9. We want equal education–but separate schools up to 16 for boys and 18 for girls on the condition that the girls be sent to women’s colleges and universities. We want all black children educated, taught and trained by their own teachers. Islamic alert. Islam separates boys and girls, men and women

Under such schooling system we believe we will make a better nation of people. The United States government should provide, free, all necessary text books and equipment, schools and college buildings. The {{{{{Muslim}}}}} teachers shall be left free to teach and train their people in the way of righteousness, decency and self respect.

10. We believe that intermarriage or race mixing should be prohibited. We want the religion of {{{{{Islam}}}}} taught without hinderance or suppression.

These are some of the things that we, the Muslims, want for our people in North America

My Web sites and blogs also document how Obama has posed arm in arm with, and endorsed, the prominent racist and anti-Semite Al Sharpton (Google on Sharpton and “Freddy’s Fashion Mart” for just one example, and there was of course Tawana Brawley).

When I complained to the Obama campaign, they sent me what is at best a patronizing blow-off if not a deliberate insult. It’s obvious that they think they own the Jewish vote (because they are Democrats) and that they can promote individuals who sling phrases like “white interlopers,” “bloodsucking Jews,” “[Jewish] diamond merchants,” “cracker lovers” and similar epithets without suffering any consequences in the voting booth.

David: as for a “smear campaign,” did Obama’s pastor Jeremiah Wright give an award to Louis Farrakhan (as in “Judaism is a gutter religion” and “whites are potential humans, but they haven’t evolved yet”) or did he not?

    Winged Hussar 1683
Thank you! You are a Godsend. I appreciate the hand.
I am aware of Sharpton’s ugly history. I must not of remembered his connection with Obama.
Do you know about Obama and ‘‘Project Islamic Hope”?
    http://www.islamichope.org/
OMG Your sites are a veritable treasure trove of information! I must find time to dig around them.

    David

I did not receive any of my content/info. from an e-mail. Thank you very much. I repeat, I did NOT receive any of my content or information from an e-mail.

A ramped-up smear campaign against the UCC’s largest congregation and U.S. Sen. Barack Obama’s home church — Trinity UCC in Chicago — has raised the ire of the Rev. John H. Thomas, the UCC’s general minister and president, who called the e-mail-driven claims “absurd, mean-spirited and politically motivated.”

Raised ‘ire’? Isn’t that precious. Indeed. What of my ‘ire’ and other concerned citizens? Is Obama not a servant of the people? I believe so! Our tax money pays his way. So criticism will have to be swallowed, by he and his church. If a church such as “Trinity United Church of Christ.” has high profile members a shining spotlight comes along with the territory. No worries I am sure the collection plate tally will make y’all feel better.

I can not address any ‘claims’ any supposed e-mail’s may have laid out. As I have stated before. I have not used any content from any e-mail smear campaign. I have not even seen one.

Obama has made his leftist/afro-centric/racist/anti-semitic/radical islamist connected bed and he shall sleep in it.
It is by no fault of any critics what his actions are and who his connections are. Those faults lay primarily on Obama.

the first to ordain an openly gay man (1972), and the first to support same-gender marriage equality (2005).

Well la di da. Congratulations on your hand in being one of the first ‘church’s’(?) to tear at the moral fabric of America. Those “firsts” are nothing to brag about. Quite the contrary! Gay minister? Gay marriage? That is no church. Not in my mind! A perfect haven for far left progressives. Birds of a feather.

None of you should feel special I’ve gone after Hillary just as hard. And will continue to do so. It is the politics! Nothing personal. I am just a patriotic American trying to save my country. I have no respect for anyone who chooses to side with Palestine against Israel and plays kissy face with Farrakhan & Sharpton.

Lastly allow me to echo Winged Hussar 1683’s sentiments.

David: as for a “smear campaign,” did Obama’s pastor Jeremiah Wright give an award to Louis Farrakhan (as in “Judaism is a gutter religion” and “whites are potential humans, but they haven’t evolved yet”) or did he not?

Or did he not? That after all is the crux of my article. Up top front and center. Plain as day.

    Signed,
An Unapologetically, Unashamedly White Christian AMERICAN
    Let freedom ring!
God save us from the leftist socialist attempt to take our country down!

April 11, 2007 -In an interview with ABC News Wednesday afternoon, Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill., called for the firing of talk radio host Don Imus. Obama said he would never again appear on Imus’ show, which is broadcast on CBS Radio and MSNBC television.

“I understand MSNBC has suspended Mr. Imus,” Obama told ABC News, “but I would also say that there’s nobody on my staff who would still be working for me if they made a comment like that about anybody of any ethnic group. And I would hope that NBC ends up having that same attitude.”

Oh grand glorious saviour. What of this? Ya can’t have it both ways.
The Rev enlightens his flock on white America and 9/11.

8/2005 - In the 21st century, white America got a wake-up call after 9/11/01. White America and the Western world came to realize that people of color had not gone away, faded into Great White the woodwork or just “disappeared” as the West kept on its merry way of ignoring Black concerns.

“…Obama told ABC News, “but I would also say that there’s nobody on my staff who would still be working for me if they made a comment like that about anybody of any ethnic group.”

Hmmm, oh reaaaaally? So what does he have to say about the people of the Nation of Islam, with whom he works for the Project Islamic HOPE? Or how about his racist Pastor at the Church he attends and considers his “mentor”? What about that, Senator Obama.

My gosh this guy is so getting a pass by the entire country on his bigotry and hypocrisy. But of course, the mass media will not expose him, because they support him. And Conservatives/Republicans will not expose him because they are all a bunch of PC-weenies, scared of being called bigots and racists if they expose the truth about Obama being a racist bigot and radical Islamist supporter.

Ugh, this is really annoying. I wish people would wake up and realize what is going on with all this. This racist, bigoted, Islamist supporting fraud needs to be exposed.
