“It ought not to be necessary to have this debate about whether McCain is a Reagan conservative. Beyond the non-exhaustive list here, just look at the people who are constantly cheering him on – liberals in the mainstream media, Hollywood and New York entertainers, and Democrats. Why? Because McCain not only often thinks and acts like a liberal, he also routinely and joyously sticks it to his own team; he’s the “maverick” – the anti-conservative in our huddle.”–David Limbaugh

Wasn’t it the Great Communicator that said the litmus was “If it is a question of life, always come down on the side of life”?
For all his faults - McCain has always done that right? Repeatedly and w/out modesty - right?
Is the litmus being re defined?
Not trying to stir things up - (after all I’m just a hick neophyte about parties, elections and politics in general) but I get the feeling that the radio and tv are redef ing this - almost like saying KFed = Sir Paul McCartney or that a Caddy is just like a Yugo.

All I can say is that you should look at each candidates voting records, views on key issues, policies etc. And vote your conscience. A vote is a personal choice as it should be. Vote who you yourself would like to see as president. It is not easy but that is politics for you. Now keep in mind I am no expert. lol Far from it!

I love it! Good stuff!

So - Hill/Barack would be better, or “just the same”? McCain is far from my preference, but better that than the alternative. It’s the political equivalent of having to call an Airstrike down on your own position as a last resort. Taking a big chance, but, it’s a heck of an election.
