Pakistan blocks YouTube website

Pakistan has blocked access to the popular YouTube website because of content deemed offensive to Islam.
Its telecommunications authority ordered internet service providers to block the site until further notice.
Reports said the content included Danish cartoons depicting the Prophet Muhammad that have outraged many.
But one report said a trailer for a forthcoming film by Dutch lawmaker Geert Wilders, which portrays Islam in a negative light, was behind the ban.
“They asked us to ban it immediately… and the order says the ban will continue until further notice,” said Wahaj-us-Siraj, convener of the Association of Pakistan Internet Service Providers.
“Users are quite upset. They’re screaming at ISPs which can’t do anything.
“The government has valid reason for that, but they have to find a better way of doing it. If we continue blocking popular websites, people will stop using the internet.”
Other countries that have temporarily blocked access to YouTube include Turkey and Thailand.
In order to be fair and balanced. Here is what the fuss is all about.
The famous Danish cartoons.

And Gert Wilders, the man with the plan.

Pakistan lifts YouTube ban; jihadis breathe sigh of relief! @ Michele Malkin
What goes around, comes around. After earning a notorious reputation in the blogosphere for stamping out videos critical of Islam and the Danish cartoon debacle because they contained “inappropriate content” and threatening to suspend accounts of anti-jihad video creators, YouTube got gagged by Pakistan over…a video critical of Islam and the Danish cartoon debacle. The news today is that Pakistan has lifted the restrictions.

Never call yourself an infidel, it is not conducive to victory over the facist nature of Islam. The beheading that must take place, is the beheading of the Koran from It’s Islamic peoples. If your neighbor is a friend and he is Islamic, then his son may read this book and become a scholar, which is exactly the obverse to Christianity. Paul

DhimmiTube declines request to remove terrorist-produced videos
YouTube has refused a request from US Sen. Joe Lieberman (ID-Conn.) to remove all videos sponsored by terrorist organizations like Al-Qaeda, contending that most of them don’t violate its community guidelines.
Lieberman, chairman of the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs, Monday called on the Google Inc subsidiary to remove video content produced by terrorist organizations that showed assassinations, deaths of US soldiers and civilians, weapons training, “incendiary” speeches and other material intended to “encourage violence against the West.”
