Sen. Barrasso Comes to Cody

I got to get my picture taken with Wyoming’s (and the country’s) Junior Senator at the town hall meeting in Cody tonight. Penny Preston with K2 TV was there, camera in hand, so you might catch a fleeting glimpse of my mug or shirt sleeve on the 10 o’clock news tonight.

My review of this event is in progress, but I did want to say that I hand delivered some info about some friends of our country being held hostage for over a year. Also, Sen. Barrasso’s transitional website has massively improved. I looked at it this morning and it was the basic contact info, but now there are some press releases and he has e-mail too!!!

Sweet! I didn’t see where he’s coming to our town, though I did notice that he’ll be nearby in Riverton. I wish I had the time to go over — I should send Ted! Wouldn’t that be awesome if I could get Ted to go and hand him the same information regarding the Israeli soldiers? At least he would know that WY cares about these men and wants this issue resolved.

Did you make the news? I missed it.

    Good pic!

The last time I had my picture taken with a Senator was a bit of a sickening experience. I was in DC to meet with Senator John Ensign (NV) and both he and Senator Harry Reid (NV, but we don’t admit that often), were in the same room doing photos with everyone.

So I got stuck with a photo of both Reid and Ensign.

    Can anyone say “scissors?”

Mr. C. should definitely go to the town hall meeting in Riverton with your daughter’s article for our good Senator. I did not make the 10 PM news, in fact, none of the meeting was on the 10 o’clock broadcast. Must have been past deadline. I don’t know if I made any of the Tuesday casts or not.

Eric, my condolances on your pic with Sen. Reid. With some good photo editing software, you should be able to replace the Sen. Reid portion of the image with someone more admirable. :-)
