Google Gyps Wyoming!

I was over on Nuke’s News & Views the other day and noticed that he’s running an experiment, so I figured I’d give it a try in a modified fashion. But before I do, I would like to say that, for what i’s worth, I do believe that it’s fair to say that Hillary Rodham Clinton has committed the greatest campaign finance scandal in American history.

Now, you may recall, that Sept. 29 I traveled down to Riverton, WY to take part in viewing a Republican Presidential Forum. You might also recall that I was very impressed with Rep. Duncan Hunter (R-CA). You might further recall that I met the blogger behind Sunflower Desert at said forum and she was just as impressed with Rep. Hunter.

Now, if you do a google for duncan hunter, riverton, wyoming, you would think that blogs of people that were there would be pretty high up on the results. Understandably, the official campaign website comes in at #1. But then a whole host of websites and blogs from everywhere but Wyoming start coming into the mix, even a blog that reposted the Sunflower Desert article comes in before Sunflower Desert’s original post (and her post has a huge amount of comment traffic)!

Similar situations include a repost of the same article on Free Republic as well as reprinted press releases on Free Republic, and even a Georgia blog picking up more steam than the Wyoming bloggers that were there! To be fair, there are now at least | three | people on Free Republic that were at one Wyoming forum or the other (two of them happened to be Riverton)

I figured give it a couple days, and a couple of Wyoming blogs should be showing up on the front page of Google with pertinent search terms, but Sunflower Desert is now only barely skirting into the Top 10 with said search terms.

Very strange if you ask me. Let’s throw some key words on this post…

duncan hunter, riverton, wyoming, presidential forums

And if you find any other appropriate Google anomalies regarding the Wyoming Presidential forums, feel free to point them out in the comments.
