Trauner’s Mediocre Announcement

Boy, we never saw it coming.
Gary Trauner is seeking to be the Democrat contender for our lone vote in the U.S. House. You know this was a big let down when the Casper Star didn’t even really seem all that hyped about it:
Oh, Trauner; from 2006? He’s running. Cubin might or might not. Don’t know yet; she is being challenged in the Republican Primary (if she runs).
You’d think that he’d at least update his website with the announcement transcript. It seems to have been obvious that a 2008 bid was in the works. He could have really surprised us all and targeted one of the Senate seats or opted out of the campaign process all together.
UPDATE: Brodie Farquhar over at NewWest.net has posted an article covering the announcement. Sounds like “more of the same” from 2006.

I dread this. I really cannot stand this guy. Possibly, because I truly do not agree with the press endorsing candidates?! Ugh! Really, I think it’s wrong for the media to endorse any candidate, Republican or DemoRat.

If they were to be fair and objective as they claim to be, they would refrain from such activity. But, that’s a BIG IF…

Sunflower… you say you “can’t stand this guy?” The guy who ran a completely positive campaign in ‘06 - who actually went around the state knocking on doors, something Cubin has never done. In fact she doesn’t represent much of Wyoming… co-sponsoring a bill to sell off Wyoming public lands, missing 45% of the votes this session (more than any living house rep). She is a disgrace to the state… and Wyomingites, both Republican and Democrat know it, thats why the Casper Star endorsed Trauner in ‘06
