Lynne Hunter Calls Wyoming “Real”

Now, this is what I call a quote! Duncan Hunter’s wife, Lynne, was in the Cowboy State to observe the WYGOP County Convention in Cheyenne. Here’s what she had to say:

I think Wyoming’s very important because this is where real America is. I don’t think real America is Iowa. I don’t mean that in a mean way, but this is where the real people are, in the Western states.

Doesn’t that just make you feel warm all over? It does for this Wyomingite!

The Mitts Come Off

Saturday, former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney won 8 of 12 Wyoming delegates selected to go to the Republican National Convention in September. These are the first in the Presidential nomination process to be chosen.

Upon hearing of the win, Gov. Romney had this to say:

The people of Wyoming took the first step towards bringing true conservative change to Washington. I am honored to have won many of the first delegates awarded this primary season. As the Republican nominee, I promise to fight to seat all of Wyoming’s delegates at the national convention.

I would be surprised if any nominee allows the delegates to be disenfranchised by virtue of a handful of states signaling that the system is broken.

Not many are aware just how great Wyoming is because they judge us solely on what the geography of the eastern half of the state looks like (wide open and barren), but then they marvel at the grandeur of Yellowstone and forget that it is mostly in Wyoming.  Continue Reading »
