Coming on the paws of Obama’s recent Vegas Town Hall meeting, the Coalition of Yellowstone Carnivores announced plans to endorse Democrat Presidential Candidate Barack Obama:
Democrat Barack Obama says he won’t just be a president for the American people, but the animals too.
“What about animal rights?” a woman shouted out during the candidate’s town hall meeting outside Las Vegas Wednesday after he discussed issues that relate more to humans, like war, health care and the economy.
Obama responded that he cares about animal rights very much.
The Coalition of Yellowstone Carnivores is primarily made up of reintroduced Canadian grey wolves and grizzly bears, both species that are set for delisting from federal protection provided by the Endangered Species Act.
We’ve been watching the campaigns closely to find a good candidate to endorse. With Sen. Obama’s recent statement about being a president for the animals, we believe he could restore the protection that we’ve been accustomed and entitled too for many years. With the Wyoming Democrat party chairman being comfortable with Obama, we believe that Sen. Obama is the best choice for the Democrat nomination to take place in Denver.
The spokesbear for the coalition said that they are planning a march in Washington D.C. to demand voting and civil rights for the animal kingdom. “If he’s going to claim to be President of the animals, we should be able to vote for him,” noted the Coalition’s chairwolf.
Sen. Obama, who could not be reached for comment, has been invited to be the keynote speaker at the march.

I am a foreigner, not an American. I cannot understand what is great about Obama other than his beautiful speeches, etc. In my opinion, he is WRONG for America. He made excuses for his wrong decisions(which surfaced recently…Rezko court case,NAFTA ). How many other mistakes would he make as USA President & say “sorry”? I prefer Hilary or McCain to win. Mrs. Obama sounds like a true “hypocrite”. What sort of image would she give to the world? The statue of Liberty is a symbol of America. How did she come up without a just America?to the American people, pls vote WISELY for the USA President has an impact on the world too.Thx

Ganesh, thanks for stopping in and sharing your thoughts. I too am not all that excited about an Obama presidency. Neither am I very excited about another Clinton presidency, and I don’t really find McCain all that appealing either, but he has months to convince me to vote against the Democrat. We’ll see what happens.
Meanwhile, I find it always interesting that non-Americans seem to be quicker to see the errors of OUR ways than we are. The Presidential election is very important. I actually view all elections as very important, since a number of people that get elected on the local and county level go on to be elected to the State level, and from there to the Federal level. At any rate, far too often, people vote on personality more than they do substance. We do need to consider our votes wisely, and rest assured, I will do my part to vote for the best candidate.
Thanks again for stopping by and feel free to comment anytime!
