What Happens If McCain Falters?

In case anyone was wondering, Mitt Romney’s campaign is only under suspension. That’s what his son Josh wants us all to know. Pointing out that McCain, the presumptive Republican nominee has still failed to attract conservatives, Josh  Romney has not ruled out a possible reentry by his father.

Many Mitt Romney delegates are resisting transferring their support to McCain or even Huckabee.

According to the CNN Delegate Scorecard, here in Wyoming, two delegates remain in the Romney column, now five in the McCain column (previously, his only Wyoming delegates were alternates), and five are uncommitted.

While Sen. McCain has made no pledge to fight for the seating of all delegates if he is the nominee, Wyoming Republicans are planning to vote for the full remaining slate of 16 delegates at the state convention in May.

Goodness… I don’t even want to think about this because it would get my hopes up too high. Wouldn’t that be amazing? If somehow, Romney came through in the end? ::sigh::

That would seem to validate what Huckabee said regarding miracles over numbers. And the Park County resident told me about the quote from Josh Romney alluded to the McCain age/health factor.

I guess a lot of McCain’s camp tanking depends on how good the NYT bus driver is. They’ve tried to make roadkill of their endorsed Republican twice, but so far there doesn’t seem to be any stains left on the highway.
