Wyoming Blog Roundup

I’m starting a new feature here on WVT. At this point, I’m going to call it “Wyoming Blog Roundup,” but, as moderate as it sounds, I am open to suggestions.

The basic idea behind the Wyoming Blog Roundup is to point out interesting blog posts by Wyoming bloggers (even if they’re displaced Wyoming bloggers). Hopefully, this will be a weekly series that perhaps gains as much popularity as Monday Night Football, but if not, I’ll take what I can get. Sometimes, the posts will be centered on one topic, other times the posts will be on an assortment of topics.

Now that you know some of what to expect, without further adieu, here’s the first edition of the Wyoming Blog Roundup:

  • Mrs. C. over at Sunflower Desert posted some thoughts on being a donor or a recipient of organs, especially where illness and disease is concerned.

I understand the dilemma of needing a vital organ or having a loved one who is waiting for a transplant. For me, personally, unless it were something like a kidney where the donor could remain alive, I’d probably pass on being a recipient, and head on into eternity….but why would it be considered safe in the world of medicine to harvest and donate organs from someone who died from bacterial meningitis in the first place?

While I wish the best for the families that have been affected, it was rather erie timing with recent news items here in Cody Country.

  • Chris Adamo predicts the resurrection of the Democrat party because of the Republican nominee.

McCain’s sole hope of enduring this completely predictable tsunami is one that he abhors. Were he to have cultivated loyal support among conservatives over the past few years, they would be on hand to strenuously counter any fraudulent antics from liberals in the media or among the Democrats. But John McCain believes instead that he can build a coalition of disenchanted “moderates” from both parties.

  • Tieki Rae over at Haemet is remaining firmly squirmish about the thought of voting for the presumptive Republican presidential nominee.

I’ve never trusted McCain and I’m still leaning strongly toward voting for the Constitution Party this fall….McCain is already wishy-washy enough on issues that matter to social conservatives.
