Sen. Mike Enzi was on hand to introduce Sen. Barrasso. I can tell you that of all of the speeches and political events I've attended, I've never heard such a resounding and heartfelt introduction. Sen. Enzi spent a few moments recalling the accomplishments and hard work Sen. Barrasso has done in just the past ten months. Sen. Enzi even led from the front row a standing ovation when Sen. Barrasso came to the point in his speech announcing his candidacy. Senator Barrasso spoke before a packed room personally thanking all of the gathered friends and former colleagues. State Senator Landin, who replaced Sen. Barrasso, was on hand and was also given a round of applause. State Sen. Jennings was also in attendance to show support of his long time friend.
