With Wyoming’s Primary Election Day just under a month away, it’s past time to start researching candidates and finding out who you want to support.
In an effort to make this a lilttle easier, groups of Park County Republicans are organizing three events where you can meet local, state, and federal Republican candidates.
The action kicks off at 7 PM on Monday, August 4 at the Cody City Hall, where the Park COunty Republican Central Committee has arranged for candidates for the Park County Board of Commissioners and Cody City Council will take your questions. If you are unable to make it to the event, you can listen in on AM 1400 KODI or tune into Bresnan Cable Channel 16.
Saturday August 9 features a double-header of Meet and Greets begining in Powell. The Park County Republicans are hosting a meet and greet at 4:30 PM at the Powell Masonic Hall. Federal, state, and local level candidates have all been invited. Eastern Star will be serving refreshments.
Around 6 PM, the candidates in Powell will be packing up and bee-lining for Cody to gather at the Meet and Greet in City Park. The Park County Republican Women are leading this event at the Bandshell. Live music by the Sheets family will be provided from 6 PM until 7. At 7, all four Republican Congressional candidates are slated to address the crowd. After the candidates speak, an ice cream social will be taking place where you can mingle with your fellow voters and talk with the candidtes. While they won’t be addressing the crowd, local level candidates have been invited to this event as well. The Park County Republican Women encouorage you to bring your lawn chair or blanket and have a light picnic during the music hour.
