Former Wyoming Congressman John Wold announced his enthusiastic endorsement of Cynthia Lummis, Republican candidate for Wyoming’s lone congressional House seat on Friday:
“Cynthia is the only congressional candidate, Republican or Democrat, who has any legislative experience. She brings 14 years of service in the Wyoming House and Senate. Additionally, she was Wyoming’s State Treasurer for eight years. During that time, Cynthia reorganized the state’s investments, growing the state’s permanent funds from $3.5 billion to over $8 billion.”
Wold is a recognized leader in the mineral industry. “Energy and the economy are the topics of concern in America. Cynthia has great experience and clear solutions to help solve these issues.”
Wold is also a veteran of the U.S. Navy and is familiar with the unwavering support Lummis provides to veterans. “I have followed Cynthia Lummis’ service in our state with great admiration. Cynthia is the best candidate to represent Wyoming values in Washington. She brings a strong conservative record, talent, ability, and Wyoming common sense to Wyoming public service. She is one who we will always be proud of, something long overdue in Congress.”
As two-term Wyoming Republican State Chairman and long-time member of the executive committee of the Republican National Committee, John Wold has played an active role in Republican programs since the 1950’s. John Wold remains active in his family’s Hole-In-The-Wall Ranch in Kaycee, WY and constantly follows the Wyoming political landscape.
Lummis has also been endorsed by Wyoming Right to Life, Gun Owners of America, Wyoming Association of REALTORS, Wyoming Family Coalition, Former Governor Jim Geringer, and over 30 current State Legislators.
