Lummis Supports Keeping the East Gate Open

One Congressional candidate has gone crazy on Cody-specific advertising the day before the Wyoming Primary. At issue is a recent endorsement by a major Wyoming newspaper and statements on the East Gate.

Gordon has once again played a distortion to try to sway any undecided voters.

The Casper Star painted Cynthia Lummis as being on the fence because, whenever they conducted their interview, she wasn’t exactly sure of which avenue she would take in fighting to keep the East Gate open.  She does support keeping the East Gate open; she supports the hard, and at this point successful, work done by the Shut Out of Yellowstone committee. This has been noted in at least one appearance by Cynthia Lummis on Speak Your Piece, as well as in conversations over the phone, in person, and in e-mail.

I believe that Cynthia Lummis is still the best candidate in this race. Right now is the homestreach of the fight. I am supporting her all the way and I believe that we will be able to count on her to fight for Wyoming, for public access and winter use, and if the National Park Service decides to pull another fast one on Sylvan Pass, I’m sure she would team up with our other elected officials (local, state, and federal) to make Wyoming’s voice heard in D.C.
