Did Rush Signal Palin Pick?

It’s easy to be a Monday morning referee, but sometimes, there are things that you don’t catch until after everything comes to fruition. Take, for example, the Rush Limbaugh Show, hosted by the show’s namesake. I enjoy listening to Rush, and especially Bo Snerdly’s Obama criticisms. Last Monday was no exception, and of course the topic of choice was the not-so-stellar choice of Sen. Biden for the Democrat Veep.
In opining about the pick, El Rushbo referred to the Senate’s obsession with steroids in sports because of the unfair advantage that they gave the athletes. Then he said of Sen. Biden:
Joe Biden now has an unfair advantage in the game of politics with hair that is not where God intended it to be. It’s just so unfair to Dick Cheney, for example. It’s all the more reason for McCain to rise above all this and pick a vice president with lots of hair.
Keep in mind, this was a full five days before any of us knew where Senator McCain was headed with his choice. However, I have to wonder, was there a subliminal message in this statement? Could it have been Rush’s own unique way of expressing Gov. Palin as his preference in the Republican Veepstakes? He had spoken favorably of her, but he nver really came out and said “I’d like McCain to pick this one.”
He did warn of the danger in picking a Lieberman or a Ridge but that was as open as he was. Looking back, I have to wonder if there was more to the “lots of hair” statement than meets the eye. If there was, THANK YOU to whomever in the McCain camp that got the memo to Sen. McCain. You are a hero to the Republican Party and conservatives all across the fruited plain.

McSame, I would not underestimate the candidate that is Sarah Palin. The people are excited about her, not because she has a pretty face (though she does), but because of the freshness she brings into the race, her experience, her policy positions, and her ability to relate to average American families. This race got interesting Friday morning and there’s gonna be so much cheering in St. Paul tonight that the cameras catching the action are going to be shaking.
Gov. Palin makes the McCain ticket AWESOME and she represents real change.
