Park County GOP Opens Campaign HQ

This has been an awesome Republican weekend! A Realtor here in Cody discovered my blog and loves it; we have mutual friends, and she’s a new Young Republican that wants to be active thanks to Sarah Palin. As if that wasn’t cool enough, I went to see one of my Republican friends in Downtown Cody this afternoon, and before I could even say hi, she came from behind the counter and starts escorting me out the door, noting that she had to show me something. I had no idea what, but I went along with it. She took me to what was a store no longer in business. In the windows were campaign signs for John McCain, Sens. Barrasso and Enzi and Cynthia Lummis. Red, White, and Blue decorated the walls on the inside. A couple other Republican women were inside decorating. Flags hung all along the walls. A refreshment table was on ne side, chairs were set up in a semi circle for conversing, and a display case had some bumperstickers on display. This, I was told, is the Park County Republican Headquarters. It will be open through November 4th and will have campaign materials for candidates county level and up. People can come in and learn about the candidates or even visit and talk politics over a cup of coffee. The Park County Republicans are seeking volunteers to come in and man the desk so people can have access to their favorite candidates materials. Who knows, you might even have the pleasure of meeting a candidate while you’re there. The Park County Republicans Headquarters is located on the south side of the road at 1262 Sheridan, right next door to Wayne’s Boot Shop. If no one is there, check with Cherie Fisher at the Village Shoppe just a few more doors east. The HQ will be open from 10 AM ’till about 5 PM, as people are available.
