Lummis Sets Record Straight

From time to time, I am privileged to have friends send along notes that are really good. After contemplating the content and the message, along with the necessity of getting the message out there, I ask if they would like me to post it. Today I received one of those e-mails, inquired about blogging the letter from a couple of folks a little more influential than me, and closer to the author of the letter, but all friends nevertheless. Both came back and said absolutely. Also, if you want to print it off and distribute it (or copy and paste into an e-mail to your Wyoming voter friends), you are certainly welcome to. Without further adieu, I give you a message from my friend, and Republican candidate for Wyoming’s At-Large seat in the U.S. House, Cynthia Lummis. Continue Reading »

Cowboy State Senators Endorse Lummis

Casper, Wyo. - Cynthia Lummis is the right candidate for the U.S. House because she has not only the experience necessary to hit the ground running in Washington, but will be in a better position to advocate for the values that are important to Wyoming residents.

“I’ve served with Cynthia in the Wyoming Legislature and seen how effective she is doing what she will be doing in Washington– passing bills that benefit Wyoming and America,” Enzi said. “She was in the Wyoming House when I served there. She was in the State Senate when I was there. I have worked on laws with her. She knows how to stop ideas until they are crafted right. She knows how to build coalitions. She served as State Treasurer while I’ve been in the US Senate and I know she is internationally recognized for her knowledge and ability to talk numbers to get peoples attention. In these tough times, we need someone who can hit the ground running. Cynthia will do that in a way you will be proud. ”

“Cynthia has the legislative experience that Wyoming needs in the U.S. House,” Barrasso said. “Cynthia Lummis will join Mike Enzi and me in the fight for lower taxes, a secure border and protection of our Second Amendment rights. Cynthia Lummis is the right choice for Wyoming.”

The senators said it’s important for voters in western states to send representatives to the U.S. House who hold dear western, rural values that will balance out a governing body that is led by people who believe the federal government has all the answers.

Will History Repeat?

Remember Election 2000? That historic first election of the new millennium and 21st century? The one reportedly stolen by George W. Bush? Boy, I’ll never forget that night, staying up late, all us guys in the dorm gathered around the computer checking numbers. When it finally became “too close to call,” with the balance hanging on Chad–I mean Florida, we decided to call it a night. Continue Reading »

Liberal Blog Picks Up Enterprise and Vandalism

It happened again. I figured a story had been exhausted, and then somebody tipped me off to a follow-up to the story, and so, I get the pleasure of opining here, again. Not that I have to. I could let it go, but given the circumstances, I figure opining is a good thing, since it is after all, in response to someone else’s opining about yet another person’s opining. Yes, this story has created a rather oddly morphing geometric shape. Continue Reading »

Why I’m Voting….Democrat?!?!?!?

I about fainted when I saw that Karen Sautter had joined a Facebook group called Why I’m Voting Democrat. I was stunned beyond belief. After all the work she’s done for YR’s, especially on ThisIsMyParty.org, how could she turn so quickly on her party?

So, I did what any good investigative reporter wouldn’t do, and checked it out. I found the list of reasons to be quite reassuring, with the power of reverse psychology at work, and if you’re on Facebook, you’ll probably end up joining the group, too.

I have edited the list to be a bit more family friendly. Enjoy! Continue Reading »
