Wyoming Secretary of State, Max Maxfield; State Auditor, Rita Meyer; State Treasurer, Joe Meyer and State Superintendent of Public Instruction, Jim McBride today announced their support for the candidacy of Cynthia Lummis to serve as Wyoming’s sole representative in Congress.
Max Maxfield said, “I served with Cynthia Lummis for eight years. What impressed me most was her desire to get out into all Wyoming communities, understand their needs, especially in the health and safety areas - fire trucks, ambulances, hospitals, water and sewer projects. She knows Wyoming; she doesn’t need a road map to find any Wyoming community, and has gone above and beyond to help meet their needs.”
Rita Meyer added, “Cynthia is the right person at the right time to bring her financial and business ethic to Congress. There is no better person to represent Wyoming values in Washington.”
Joe Meyer said, “Current economic conditions and our financial future are the top priority issues facing us all in America and Wyoming. The next two years requires a person in Congress who has extensive financial experience and will be a watch dog for Wyoming taxpayers. It is critical to elect a person to represent us in Wyoming who can function on our behalf in these very complex and difficult times. We need Cynthia’s’ experience in Congress.”
Jim McBride said, “Cynthia is team player who will best represent Wyoming in Congress. She knows the issues, she knows the State. She will work to change the requirements in the No Child Left Behind program and supports Wyoming local control issues. She is the person we need to elect to Congress to be part of the team along with Senators Enzi and Barrasso.”
